Also visit us on the web at www.spiritofhopelcmc.org. THE NEXT THREE WEEKS AT SPIRIT OF HOPE This newsletter will cover the next three weeks at Spirit of Hope as Pastor Dave will be away with family on vacation from Friday, June 3, through Saturday, June 18. If you experience an emergency requiring a pastor please contact Pastor Amy Selby. Her phone number is 303-946-7214. Thank you for your patience during this time. To catch any late breaking news and events during this time period you can visit our Facebook page: Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church Parker CO, or our website: www.spiritofhopelcmc.com. COMING SUNDAYS AT SPIRIT OF HOPE This coming Sunday, June 5, the Rev. Dr. Philip Johnson will return to lead worship and preach at Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church. Philip, a medical doctor and ordained Anglican priest, has frequently covered services for Pastor Dave when he has been away. His message for this coming Sunday will be on faithfulness. Scripture readings will come from Psalm 50:1-15, Hosea 5:15 6:6, Romans 4:18-25 and Matthew 9:9-13. Fellowship begins at 9:00 am followed by worship at 9:30 am. REMEMBER THAT THIS SUNDAY WILL BE THE FIRST ONE IN OUR NEW LOCATION OF PINE LANE ELEMENTARY SOUTH (see article and map below). HOPEFUL SPIRITS NEWS! The Hopeful Spirits Group will be having their next gathering on June 4. The event will be a brunch at the home of Sara Gutknecht (20490 Oakbrooke Lane, Parker, CO 80138). Contact Sara at (303) 805-4306 for more information. Also, Hopeful Spirits is on Facebook! You can keep up with all the latest happenings by clicking on the following

By Pastor Dave This coming Sunday we will begin fellowship and worship at Pine Lane Elementary South. Pine Lane South is a K-3 grade school located on the north side of Ponderosa Drive just east of the intersection of Ponderosa and Parker Road. Pine Lane North is a 4-5 grade school just north of Pine Lane South and is located on Pine Lane. I know that is a little confusing but you cannot get to Pine Lane South from Pine Lane (Please see the second map below). Pine Lane South is located on Ponderosa Drive just east of Parker Road (6485 Ponderosa Dr, Parker, CO 80138; see map below). As such it is the closest location yet to our future permanent home. Sunday fellowship and worship will begin there THIS SUNDAY, June 5 (fellowship at 9:00 am and worship at 9:30 am). We will have use of a cafeteria room that will be set up with folding chairs. We will also be able to make coffee in a nearby teacher s lounge. In addition, there will be a piano for our use as well as some on site storage to put our hymnals, Bibles, and altar supplies. The rental rates are also less than where we have been worshipping. Perhaps the best thing about this move is the opportunity to establish a positive relationship with Pine Lane Elementary that can lead to ministry and service opportunities that will continue once we are established in our permanent location. The staff at Pine Lane has indicated that they are excited about the possibility to host a church there on Sundays!
