Rachel s Corner Hope & Healing After Abortion I was unsure what to expect but was blown away with the love and support of everyone here. I was also impressed with how organized it was. The team had a process that was very detailed and led us to experience healing. They gave us the support to face, deal with, then deal from our pain. -Testimonial from a Retreat. Attention! If you are sponsoring someone in Guatemala, through UNBOUND, you may or may not know that mail service to Guatemala has been suspended for some time now. If you have been wondering how you can get a letter or small package to your sponsored friend here is your chance. A fellow parishioner will be traveling to Guatemala in April. He has volunteered to take some mail with him to deliver to the staff at San Lucas, Guatemala. If you are interested you can drop off your mail to the parish office and he will pick it up on Monday, April 10. He asks that you please properly address the mail as you would if delivering it to the Post Office. Make sure that you use mailing labels provided by UNBOUND or else clearly write the information on the piece of mail. Some Limitations: No large packages - try to stay within the 9" x 12" x 1" limit prescribed by UNBOUND. No boxes - they are hard to pack - soft packages are easier to pack (Priority Mail envelopes work well and resist tears) Keep weight limit at 2 to 3 pounds No money or items of great value - if the luggage requires inspection by customs in Guatemala this could cause problems The person transporting the mail reserves the right to reject items that do not meet the criteria With the postal service in Guatemala still suspended, Unbound staff member Stacy hauled nearly 25 pounds of mail to local Guatemalan staff members to distribute to sponsored friends. Thanks for your hard work, Stacy! 1
