The prayer shawl or tallit can be worn to create a sense of personal space during prayer. The name comes from two Hebrew words: TAL meaning tent and ITH meaning little. It means little tent. Wrapping yourself in a tallit, or covering your head with it sharpens your prayer focus. The tallit represents your prayer closet, according to Matthew 6:6, But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. The anointing oil symbolizes the Holy Spirit. Biblically, it is used for consecration, prayer, healing & worship. Anoint means to smear with oil. To be anointed is to be made sacred (consecrated); to be set apart and dedicated to serve God; to be endowed with enabling gifts and grace; to be divinely designated, inaugurated, or chosen for some purpose. 2
The purpose of the journal is to capture what Holy Spirit is saying to you through prophecies, dreams, visions, wisdom, revelation, knowledge, prophetic song, ideas and more. You can also write prayers, decrees, proclamations, strategies, ideas, instruction that God gives you during this course. EIIPI Year 2 will explore prophetic intercession, healing and deliverance, dreams and visions, spiritual mapping, praying in heaven's courts, strategic intercession in the 7 mountains and more. Monthly Teleconferences & Assignments Upon acceptance into EIIPI, you will receive the access code to the online learning portal to submit monthly assignments, prayer requests, receive updates and chat with your instructor and peers. EIIPI Year 1 We will meet the second Thursday of each month at 8:30pm CST beginning 11/10. EIIPI Year 2 We will meet the third Thursday of each month at 8:30pm CST beginning 11/17. Serving in humility and soaring in excellence is our motto for EIIPI. To promote excellence, you will receive a sample written assignment, including a cover sheet to show you how to organize and submit your assignments. You may use the sample template or create your own. Make sure your assignments are spell-checked, grammatically correct and professional. Have someone edit your papers for you if writing is not your strength. You must also maintain a prayer journal for this course to capture prophecies, dreams, visions, prayers, instructions and revelations from the Lord. Monthly Videoconferences, Monthly Assignments, Prayer Force & Prayer Partners Participation on the monthly videoconferences is very important. This is where you receive instruction, prophetic prayer activations, impartation, encouragement to help you pray effectively, while interacting and fellowshipping with your peers. In order to earn your certificate of completion for EIIPI Year 1 or Year 2, you must meet or exceed the following requirements: 5
1) Attend and participate on 10 of 12 monthly videoconferences. If you cannot attend one, it is your responsibility to view or listen to the replay and submit a brief one to three bullet point summary of what you learned via Edmodo within two weeks. 2) Submit monthly assignments on time. Please submit all assignments on time. If your assignment is late, you may receive one grade lower. For example, an A will become a B. You have two weeks to submit a late assignment. 3) Participate in 70% of Prayer Force midnight watches. This is a prayer watch that takes place at midnight each Wednesday in your respective time zone. It is set at midnight, so you learn how to command the day. Prayer Force will teach you to discipline yourself to watch and pray like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane before his crucifixion. Everyone will have an opportunity to prepare, organize and lead a Prayer Force watch. It s mandatory for each prayer captain to man his or her watch, since you re responsible for watching and praying over God s people at your scheduled time, including collecting and organizing prayer requests and leading the call. You will receive training and instructions on how to lead a Prayer Force call. Unless your work schedule or an emergency arises, each student is expected to be on the call with their team. You ll receive a Prayer Force calendar. If Prayer Force times conflict with your work schedule, let Pastor Karen Gardner know, so that she can find an alternate time for you to pray. Pastor Karen Gardner along with prayer coaches will be on these calls to train you. EIIPI is a safe place to learn how to pray more effectively. 6
4) Prayer Partners You will be assigned prayer partners on a rotational basis throughout the course to pray together at least twice a month. You will determine the schedule that works best for you and your prayer partner. Being a prayer partner is not about you as much as it is about meeting the other person's needs. Pray with your prayer partner either face-to-face, by phone, live streaming, SKYPE or Zoom. Please honor your prayer partner by meeting with them at the agreed upon time to pray. Praying with a partner in agreement and unity helps get answers to prayer. One can chase a 1,000, but two can chase 10,000. 5) Attend a Prophetic Intercessory Prayer Conference with an emphasis on prayer and intercession. A link will be given to you to search for conferences in your area. You will receive an observation questionnaire to provide feedback of what you learned and how it has impacted your prayer life. Final Exam Year 1 Your final exam will consist of an oral and written exam, and an on-site Prayer Meeting, including recognition, at the Gathering of Eagles International Worship Summit. 1. The oral prayer exam will be given on the last videoconference call in October. I will ask you to pray a specific type of prayer, which we will cover during the course. 2. You will take the written exam after the oral final exam. It will be posted in Edmodo. You will receive a study packet in advance to prepare for it. If you study, you will pass the test. 3. We will have our Final Meeting on-site at the Gathering of the Eagles Int'l Worship Summit in Dallas, TX from Oct. 31 to Nov. 5. Final Project Year 2 You will be given a final project that will be due before or by October. 7
Final On-Site Meeting at Summit Year 1 & 2 Please book your flight to arrive on Tuesday, the day before Summit begins, so that you are onsite for our Final Meeting. This is a time of celebration, praise and worship, prayer, fellowship, and special recognition. We ll let you know the specific meeting time. Upon successfully completing the course in a spirit of humility and excellence, including prompt payment of fees and tuition, you will earn your EIIPI Certificate of Completion, which will be presented to you at the Gathering of the Eagles International Worship Summit. This gathering will be held October 2017 in Texas. Remember to book your flight to arrive a day early. ***If for some unforeseen reason, you are unable to graduate and would like to return the following year to complete EIIPI, you must pay $42.00 application fee only, if you paid your tuition.
