Congregation Ohev Shalom Youth and Family Update 5/11/2017 Amy Geboff - Director of Youth, Family & Education Gabe Grossman - Assistant Director of Youth & Family The final few sessions of the school year are upon us.last Sunday Kitah Hay held their annual café to celebrate the end of their year long study of Israel. Todah Rabbah to the parents who helped with the refreshments and Kol Hakavod to Morah Rosen and Moreh Berger and the Madrichim for a wonderful event. Also on Sunday 36 Kadimaniks had a fun day at the Water park in Tampa. Our 7th graders are practicing for their graduation and have learned about the Madrichim program. Last night was the Kadima election. We say Mazel Tov to our new board, President Adam Crasnow, Vice President Josh Zeffren, Secretary Emma Gotlib, Social Action Mitchell Spector, Fundraising Mimi. COSUSY, Kadima and Olim will have their closing events starting next week. Mothers Day is this Sunday May 14. Kadima and USY will be hosting a Mother s Day Mi Chamocha Café from 8:30-10. No charge but donations welcome. They will also be selling

flowers! Hebrew school students need to go to class at 9 a.m. 19 is Shabbat Kavod which means a night of honor. Our youth will be leading the services and we honor our teaching and youth staff, say thank you to our madrichim and committee members, install and discharge our Kadima and USY boards and say goodbye to our seniors. We will also have the annual camp blessing for all campers and counselors going to overnight camps and programs. There is Shabbat dinner at 6 and services at 7:30. We hope you will come and celebrate, support and show your gratitude. MACHANEH OHEV is just a few weeks away! The water slides, tents and t shirts have been ordered! Counselors have been hired. The themes for each day have been chosen and we are just filling in the details for the 10th year of the most fun Jewish week of the year!! We have a few spots left in rising Pk, 1st,2nd and 8th grades. We can t wait! We look forward to a wonderful end of the school year. Wishing you an early Shabbat Shalom!
