Welcome Reflections: Here we are again on the threshold of another New Year and the question always arises: What is your New Year resolution? Resolutions are about trying to change our lives in one way or another, hopefully for the better. We often fail for one reason or another to live up to our resolution expectations. Maybe we should try a different approach, if we want a better life. This year let s try to take a hint from the Gospels, particularly today s Gospel on this Feast of Mary, The Mother of God. First of all let s resolve to not let this Christmas season to have already passed us by, as the secular world does. We celebrate Christmas until the Baptism of the Lord which is on January 19. Have you really contemplated what Christmas means and then make known the message you have been told about this Christ Child? What message have you been told about Jesus this Christmas? Share it! Begin this year with a sense of unbounded wonder and gratitude. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Can you begin this year with wonder? And keep that wonder with you as you enter into the rest of the year? Don t ever lose that wonder of what our God has done for us by sending his Son into our ordinary lives; to reconcile us, to make us whole and to be our companion during this year and beyond. As the saying goes, there wouldn t be an Easter without Christmas. And let s not forget gratitude for what God has done. How can we show our gratitude for God s greatest gift to us? The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God. This coming year, let s make it a reality to return each and every week to this place we call church to give praise and glory to our God. And to give God the very best of who we are. I think if we work hard to keep these resolutions, this year, we will find great joy and fullness of Gods life in us throughout not only this year but the rest of our lives. Happy New Year! Peace, Deacon Patrick We d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who gave of their time, talent and treasure to make this such a happy and meaningful Christmas season. Because of the participation and the unselfish giving of so many in our Parish community, so many more were assisted, enriched, and blessed! Thank You! January 1, 2017 4 Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother of God

STEWARDSHIP/MINISTRIES Thank you to everyone that helped to fulfill all of the tags on our Christmas Giving Tree, helped bring all of the gifts downstairs from the church and helped bring them out to the cars of the recipients. Many people were thankful for the kindness that was shown to them at this busy time of the year. Welcome Let s Connect! We are very excited about our new Audio/Visual Ministry here at St. Patrick s. We are in the testing stages of streaming one Mass a week live, for our parishioners who are unable to be present for our weekend Masses. We would like to build a team of people who are interested in audio/visual and are willing to learn more about our capabilities.
