USD Chapter American Marketing Alcala Bazaar Table Décor Was tabled at last week s ASBC because the committee wanted to see a breakdown of expenses. o Motion to fund in full Chinese Students and Scholars This activity is to welcome all the new Chinese student. Provide an opportunity for all the new students to meet one another. Made a PowerPoint for tips to living in the U.S. and USD. Undergrads attended: 30+ o This sounds to be a general body meeting o Motion to re-classify to a GBM o Motion to approve for $84 as a GBM Interfraternity Council Guest speaker for fall informational David Stollman, speaker specialized in Greek Life. Greek life had difficult time last semester IFC attended a conference and enjoyed the presentation from David Stollman and felt very inspired. There were 100+ potential members, and 140+ active members. Potential members are going to be good members in the fraternity they chose to go to. Asian Student ASA/ISO Mooncake Festival, open to entire student body A celebration of the autumnal full moon and is similar in significance and holds similar values to Westerners Thanksgiving. Expected Undergrads: 150 o Motion to approve for $200 International Student Organization Mid-Autumn Chinese Mooncake Festival Traditional festival in China, impacts Asia. The important food for the event is the Mooncake. This event is used to recruit members There were three guest speakers, and had a number of students attend Expected Undergrad: 200 The festival, led by the Asian Student, also coincides with ISO s first coffee hour through which we gain many of our members on torero orgs. o ISO makes a great impact o Appreciate that it was a collaboration with ASA o Motion to approve for $450 Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Capture the Flag New student outreach (NSO), consist of several events to help new student feel more involved and connected at USD. Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Intervarsity Night on the Town Event oriented towards new students, where each student is set up in a car, and they go around San Diego area in a photo scavenger hunt, similar to Amazing Race. Undergrads: 100+ o Motion to approve for full amount Law and Business Mediation International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament Have been invited to compete in Arlington, Texas on Nov 2-5, 2016. First part of the conference will be a training and learning to become better changemakers. There will be international students in attendance Expected Undergrads: 4 (+1 faculty member) There is a team of three and also an alternate. The faculty is not included in the price request. o Submitted her EvR o Motion to approve for full Abstaining: 1 Sigma Theta Psi The Think Pink Affair is an annual philanthropy fundraiser for young survival coalition and are selling tickets to the event on order to raise money. All proceeds will go to the young survival coalition. The event has happened three years. A speaker, Latina woman, with the American Cancer Society. Will speak about her experience. There has been an ongoing increase in the number of people attending. Revise the cost to $500 and not $700 Give the speaker a gift basket Expected undergrads: 80 (100 total)

Provides educational, technical and career opportunities for professional and student engineers. HPE Conference: a lot of people attend this conference. Companies are looking to recruit at this conference. Hospitality suits get a chance to give a pitch and talk to recruiters, and the Career Fair happens on Saturday, a tabling of companies (1000+).
