Abundant Living Faith Center Internship Program Application for Admission Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in the Abundant Living Faith Center (ALFC) Internship Program. We are so excited about the possibility of having you as an intern for our next internship semester. Our desire is to be a catalyst to your discovery and development of your God-given potential. ALFC Internship Program will provide interns with hands-on ministry experience as well as intensive leadership and spiritual development. As you read this application packet you will find answers to some frequently asked questions. Please read through the application, complete it and return it promptly. All applications must be submitted with the $25 application fee by Sunday, August 30th, 2015. Your completed application will be reviewed and prayerfully considered for admission to the program. Those considered for admission will be contacted to schedule an initial interview. Those selected to participate in the ALFC Internship Program for the 2015 Fall semester will be notified the week of September 14th, 2015. Thank you for your desire to serve. Frequently Asked Questions 1. What is the purpose of the internship program? This internship exists to provide individuals that desire training and experience in church ministry and operations an opportunity to through an intensive hands on opportunity. 2. What is the mission? Assist accepted interns in discovering and developing their God given leadership abilities. Expose accepted interns to the variety of experiences associated with ministry. Create a well-rounded experience that exposes the joys, triumphs, challenges and opportunities of service in full-time ministry 3. What are the qualifications for becoming an intern? Minimum of eighteen years of age, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Born-again, water baptized individuals who are currently actively involved in church ministry. Two recommendations: one from family, one from an adult authority associate. Self-transportation (valid driver s license and car insurance). For any projects/duties assigned: interns must be able to provide their own laptop/tablet to perform assignments 4. What are the expectations of an accepted intern? Commitment of twelve weeks. This internship is scheduled in semesters typically correlating with most traditional college academic calendars. A minimum of 15 hours per week, including weekend and Wednesday church services is required. Some ministry departments/schedules may require additional hours. Applicants will discuss and agree to a schedule designed to fulfill the internship requirements within each ministry prior to acceptance. Attendance to and active participation in all internship program events, meetings, classes, appointments and services. Complete assigned requirements for spiritual & leadership development classes. Employment/School Attendance: We encourage our interns to do what is necessary to be successful in life. However, the internship needs appropriate commitment in order to be completed successfully. Interns enrolled in school, are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA. Agreement with Abundant Living Faith Center s doctrinal belief statements. 2

5. What are the benefits of becoming an intern? Hands on experience in the realities of serving on a proactive and successful church staff. Intensive experience should assist in life planning. In-depth spiritual development and leadership training. Accountability and mentorship with an ALFC staff member. Growth and development in your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ministry practicum in one of the designated departments. 6. What are some of the potential ministry departments hosting interns? Event planning and coordination. Service Production Team (audio/video/lighting/technical) Kids Ministry Music: Vocals & Band Youth & Young Adults Ministry Spanish Ministry Outreach Ministry (Interns will be exposed to all facets of church ministries to help them understand the job and lifestyle of a full time pastor or ministry director.) 7. What fees do I need to be aware of? Application fee: $25.00 (non-refundable): application processing fee is due when the application is submitted. Internship Program Fee: $100 (non-refundable): program fee is due before or at intern orientation. 3

ALFC Intern Pledge of Honor I, am fully persuaded to be enrolled in the ALFC internship program for the 2015 summer semester. I sincerely believe that I am here by direction of the Holy Spirit and that God desires to do a unique work in my life. I believe this includes a deeper understanding of His Word and work, the development of a stronger personal relationship with God, the further maturing of my Christian character, the strengthening of personal disciplines in my life, the sharpening of my ministry skills and the development of life-long friendships. Because of this, as an ALFC Intern, I make the following pledge: 1. I pledge to diligently pursue the spiritual opportunities and engage in spiritual activities that will help me grow in my own relationship with God and become better equipped to serve and minister to others. 2. I pledge to remain open to the dealings of the Holy Spirit in all areas of my life that are consistent with Christian character and godliness. 3. I pledge to be responsive to the authorities that God has placed over me during this season of my life including my pastors, my ministry/department directors, and ALFC Internship leaders. 4. I pledge to abstain from all immoral and illegal acts and habits, whether on or off church property. I will not engage in any other behavior that is contrary to the standards of Biblical Christian conduct and the standards of my church. 6. I pledge to cultivate good relationships, professionally and socially, with others, to do my part to resolve conflicts that may arise and to seek to love others as I love myself. 7. I pledge to attend classes, ministry sessions and all required special events, and to attend church services as prescribed. 8.
