Baja Beach Festival 2017 Republica de Gozo Festival + Humanitarian Mission Vision: A festival project to reach 65,000 nationals with message of Christ, targeting 60 colonias (neighborhoods). Pre festival Training Goal: To train over, 00 City Transformation System by establishing Schools of Evangelism satellite sites delivered by 0 previously trained mentors. Post festival follow up With : a goal to establish 00 discipleship groups to do the D iscípulo 3.0 program for 12 weeks after the festival while integrating the new believers to the churches. The City Located 20 minutes south of the border from San Diego, California, this proximity to the border and scenic location between the Pacific Ocean and coastal foothills, makes Rosarito Beach (or Playas de Rosarito) one of the leading resort towns in Baja California. Rosarito has spread out and on the drive down from San Diego, you will notice just how much Tijuana and Rosarito have grown together. However the main urban district of Rosarito is a four mile stretch along the beach on Boulevard Benito Juarez of hotels, condominiums, restaurants, gift shops, curios, and more.
The Country POVERTY RATE Mexico's government estimates that 33% of Mexico's population lives in moderate poverty and 9% lives in extreme poverty, which leads to 42% of Mexico's total population living below the national poverty line. ETHNIC GROUPS The population of Mexico is racially and culturally homogeneous, with about 64% mestizo (mixed European and Amerindian), 17.5% Amerindian and 15% European. LANGUAGES The official language of the country is Spanish. The Project Mobilization: So far over 60 churches from 3 pastor alliances are engaged in the project. JA Pérez and his team will be training the 50 mentors and delivering the training materials by the end of June. Materials will include 1,500 City Transformation Manuals for students and 50 City Transformation Mentor Version books for the mentors.
Humanitarian Pre festival Work: The JA Pérez Association working with international organizations will be sending educational and medical groups during the months before the festival. Reaching the villages around the main city with immunization campaigns, medical assistance, micro farming for single mothers and other humanitarian programs.
