Certain words/ phrases have been given in bold to help you locate them while answering some of the questions. Once upon a time, there lived a herd of elephants in a forest and Chaturdanta was their King. There was a big lake in the middle of the forest where all the animals would go to drink water and to take a bath. Once it so happened that there was no rain for the whole year and the lake had dried up. Many birds and animals died of thirst. The elephants got worried that if they didn't get water soon, many of them would die too. They decided to take the matter to their King and said, ''Your Majesty, you know there is no water in our forest and we require water in order to survive. If we stay here, soon many of us will die. We have to look for water as soon as possible''. The King considered the idea and asked them to go in different directions to find water. Fortunately, one of them found a large lake in a jungle far away. Soon the King ordered all his followers to make their way towards the lake. On the way, there was a settlement of rabbits. The elephants had to pass through the settlement. Thousands of rabbits were crushed under the heavy feet of the elephants and many of them got wounded. The rabbits fled in terror. The situation was becoming worse, so the King rabbit called up a meeting. In the meeting, he said, ''A herd of elephants is killing our friends. I want all of you to think of a way to save our race''. All of them started thinking. Suddenly, a little rabbit derived a plan and said to the King. ''Your Majesty, if you send me as your messenger to the King of the elephants, I might find a solution to this problem''. The rabbit King gave his approval to the idea and he rushed towards the lake. When he saw the herd of elephants returning from the lake, he realised that it was impossible to get near them. So he climbed up a hill and shouted. ''O! King of elephants. Please listen to me''. Upon hearing the rabbit's voice. Chaturdanta stopped for a while and replied. ''Who are you and where have you come from''? The smart rabbit answered, ''I am a messenger sent to you by the Moon God''. The King of the elephants said, ''Why have you come here''? The rabbit replied, ''The Moon God has sent a message for you. Please consider that a messenger is never punished for what he has to say. He is only doing his job so you must not be angry with me''. Chaturdanta confirmed that he would be safe. The little rabbit continued, ''The Moon God is angry with you because you have brought your herd to his holy lake and have disturbed everything. You have crushed thousands of rabbits to death on the way to this lake. Rabbits are under the special protection of Moon God. Since you have bothered the Moon God and his special creatures, he is extremely annoyed with you and wants you to leave his kingdom at once. If not, then you might face terrible consequences.'' The King elephant was scared to hear this message and said, ''You are right. We have killed many rabbits on our way to the lake. But that was not our intention. I will see that you do not suffer anymore. Please

advise me what I should do''. The rabbit replied, ''Ok! I will take you to the Moon God. Pay your homage to the God and ask him to forgive you for the crime you have committed. Come with me.'' At night, the rabbit led the King of elephants to the lake. There they saw the reflected image of the Moon in still water. Just then, a mild breeze blew disturbing the waters of the lake and the Moon seemed to move to and fro. When Chaturdanta saw this, he thought the Moon God was angry at him. He bowed to the Moon God in panic. The rabbit said, ''Oh, Moon God! The King of elephants has committed a sin. Please forgive him. In row-1: A, B, C and D are seated and all of them are facing south. In row-2: P, Q, R and S are seated and all of them are facing north. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row. (All the information given above does not necessarily represent the order of seating as in the final arrangement.) The person from Delhi sits second to right of the one who faces C. One of the immediate neighbours of the person from Delhi faces the person from Patna. Only one person sits between the person from Patna and B. The one who faces B sits second to left of P. One of the immediate neighbours of B faces the person from Jaipur. The one who faces the person from Jaipur sits second to right of the person from Pune. Statement: Expert A - ''Dinosaurs became extinct due to climate changes resulting from rampant volcanic eruptions almost 65 million years ago'' Expert B - ''I disagree with the theory of volcanic eruptions. I believe their extinction was rather a result of a meteor strike'' Which of the following supports the view of expert? 1) The fact that the age of dinosaur fossils have been found to be several years apart proves that their death was gradual and not sudden. 2) A recent theory suggests that while dinosaur population dwindled due to a meteor strike, persistent volcanic eruptions ensured that Earth's environment changed to ensure their extinction.

3) In the past meteor strikes have led to immediate extinction of life forms on earth whereas volcanic eruptions have been known for wiping out life forms gradually. 4) Iridium present in high concentration in the geological layer associated with dinosaur extinction is found only in meteorites and no where on earth. 5) All fossils of dinosaurs date back to 63 to 67 million years.
