GREATER DAYTON CORVETTE CLUB (GDCC) Minutes April 15, 2015 President Freddie Haugh called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Twenty-nine members were in attendance. ANNOUNCEMENTS/GUESTS The Club welcomed Danny Hilliard owner of a 40 th Anniversary and a C6. Tom Murph bought a new Z06. Freddie thanked Tom and Star Brooks for arranging the dinner out to Wellington Grille on April 4. Freddie thanked Judy Smith for taking care of many details for the Corvette cruise-in/street fair at Giovanni s in June. SECRETARY S REPORT Larry Kopa moved the minutes from the March meeting be accepted as written. Seconded by Pat Frymyer. TREASURER S REPORT Herbie Smith provided the report. VICE PRESIDENT S REPORT Dave First called for the following committee reports: SOCIAL: Tom Brooks recapped the following: May 9: Bud s annual Corvette Car Show. Freddie will send an e-mail with the breakfast meeting place before the caravan to Bud s. May 16: Dinner out at DeSha s American Tavern in Cincinnati hosted by Eric Mundy. More information to follow. May 20: Monthly meeting at Giovanni s. June 6: CANCELLED. Trip to Church Hill Downs. June 14: Giovanni s Street Fair. Judy Smith provided the following: - The Corvette only cruise-in will take place from 11:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. - Judy will meet with Tony next week to discuss selling t-shirts. Tony would like to recoup any cost associated with the cost of the t-shirts. After recouping his costs additional profit beyond that would go to the Club. - An entry fee of $5.00 per car will be charged. If a GDCC member wants to participate, they will also pay the $5.00. Drivers will be given one door prize ticket. - A 50/50 drawing and Chinese Auction will occur. - Judy said that everyone in the club needs to help. She has sign-up sheets for selling T-Shirts, working at the table for the Chinese Auction, working at the table for door prizes, collecting $5.00 entry fee per car,

- directing cars to their parking spaces, selling 50/50 tickets, and donating items for door prizes and for the Chinese Auction. - Judy thanked Freddie, Pat Frymyer, Jill First, and Terri Kopa, for their assistance in the planning of the cruise-in. June 17: Monthly meeting at Giovanni s. June 25-27: Bloomington Gold, Indianapolis IN. Dean Tavener is leading a caravan on June 27. If interested in attending, let Dean know. July 4: Centerville s 41 st Americana Parade. At this time, Freddie has not received any information on this event. July 15: Monthly Meeting at Giovanni s. July 19: Dayton Dragon s game with GDCC Corvettes on display. Tickets to the Dragon s versus Fort Wayne Tin Caps game are $13.00 per person. August 1: Progressive dinner south of town. Appetizers will be at the home of Jerry and Jill Schlatter and soup and salad at the home of Russ and Gail Hodge. Host/hostess for the main course and dessert are needed. A sign up sheet will be circulated at the next few meetings for persons to sign up for dishes to be provided for the various courses. August 8: Overnight trip to AuburnCordDusenberg Auto Museum in Auburn IN. More information to follow. August 22: Pontoon adventure at Indian Lake hosted by Dean and Carol Tavener. More information to follow. MEMBERSHIP: Carol reported that we have 103 members. PUBLIC RELATIONS Tom Brooks had nothing to report. EDITOR/ WEBMASTER Mike Jones had nothing to report. NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM (NCM) AMBASSADOR No report provided. PRESIDENT S REPORT: Freddie is working with the assistant general manager at Applebee s on Wilmington Pike for GDCC to participate in a car show on a Monday or Tuesday evening in June. She will let club members know when a date is decided. Freddie asked attending members what they want out of our Club based on the declining participation of members in Club activities. Members can send an e-mail to her or call her if they want to discuss their concerns Old Business Freddie stated that Bob can obtain magnetic name tags between $12-16.00. Color copies of the pictorial would cost 21 cents per page.

New Business Freddie received an invitation from the Ft. Thomas KY Corvette Club to participate in their Cancer Research Benefit on August 15. There is a $20.00 entry fee per car. Larry Kopa said that his 2009 is up for sale. An e-mail was sent to the Club with the details. George Frymyer conducted the 50/50 drawing which was won by Eric Mundy: $36.00.
