Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Moosa Ash ari - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, My Ummah is an Ummah which has been (given) mercy. Their punishment is given in this world through earthquakes and fitnah. When the Day of Judgement appears, each Ummati of mine will be given a Kitaabi (a Jew or Christian) and it will be told to him that this person will enter the Fire of Hell on your behalf. (Sunan Abi Daud; Musnad Imam Ahmed) The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, On the Day of Judgement, Allah Almighty will reveal His Divine Happiness to us and He will declare, Be joyous O Muslims! On behalf of each of you, a Christian or Jew will be placed in the Fire of Hell. (Al Ihya) 1 P a g e

The immense Divine Mercy of the Allah Almighty. Hadrat Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa ad Saa adi - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, Without doubt, two thousand years before creation, Allah Almighty had recorded on the Paper of Hope a certain Divine Promise and had placed this on the Divine Arsh and also Declared, O the Ummah of Muhammad! Without doubt, My Divine Mercy has superseded My Divine Wrath. I will bestow upon even before you ask and before seeking pardon, you will be pardoned. Whoever of you meets Me and testify that besides Me there is no other deity and that Muhammad is My slave and Messenger, I will (allow) him to enter Jannah. (Firdous Al Akhbaar Imam Daylimi) The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has declared that, When the day of Judgement appears, a caller from below the Divine Arsh will call out, O the Ummah of Muhammad! What right was owning to Me by you, I have forgiven that. Therefore, pardon each other and through My Divine Mercy enter Jannah. (Al Ihya) Hadrat Sayyiduna Hasan - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, There are a hundred dimensions to the Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty. Only one dimension of this Mercy has been revealed to the world and this is sufficient until the moment of death. Th Allah Almighty has kept this, (the balance of the) Divine Mercy for the Day of Judgement. On the Day of Judgement, this will be added to the other ninety nine Dimensions of Divine Mercy and complete this (or bestow this) upon His beloved servants and those who obeyed Him. (Al Musnad Imam Ahmed) Hadrat Sayyiduna Umar - may Allah be pleased with him - once approached the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - and noticed that he was weeping. He asked, O Prophet of Allah! Why are you weeping? The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - replied, Just now Jibra eel Ameen appeared and said to me, Allah Almighty feels shame to punish that person who has become old in Islam. Therefore, why do those who have become old in Islam; not feel shame to disobey the Allah Almighty? (Kashful Khifaa) 2 P a g e

Hadrat Sayyiduna Ahmed bin Sahl - may Allah be pleased with him - mentions that he once saw Hadrat Sayyiduna Yahya bin Aktham - may Allah be pleased with him - in a dream and asked him how the Allah Almighty had treated him. He replied, He called me forward and said, O old person. I the replied, O Allah! I have been informed by Hadrat Sayyiduna Abdur Razaq who was informed by Hadrat Sayyiduna Mu ammar who was informed by Hadrat Sayyiduna Zuhri who was informed by Hadrat Sayyiduna Urwah who revealed that this was what was mentioned to him by Sayyidah Ayesha that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - had mentioned, Jibra eel Ameen had informed me that Allah Almighty had declared, I feel ashamed that I punish someone who has white hair and who became aged in Islam, (in other words, he became old in Islam). Allah Almighty then declared, Abdur Razaq has spoken the truth, Mu ammar has spoken the truth, Zuhri has also spoken the truth and Urwah is also truthful, Ayesha has also spoken the truth, my Prophet has also spoken the truth, Jibra eel Ameen has also spoken the truth and I have also spoken the Truth. Allah Almighty then allowed me to enter Jannah from the right side. (Taarikh Baghdad) The hundred dimension of Divine Mercy. Hadrat Sayyiduna Salman Farsi - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, On the day in which Allah Almighty (brought creation) into existence, on the day He manifested a hundred Dimensions of Mercy. All of these have placed one after another in between the heavens and the earth. Only one Divine Dimension of Mercy has been revealed on earth and it is through this that a mother has mercy for her child, wild animals display mercy on their offspring until even a horse moves its leg away with fear that its baby is not hurt. When the Day of Judgement appears, this one Dimension of Divine Mercy will be added to the others and become a hundred in total and this Divine Mercy (in total), will be displayed upon his servants. (Sahih Muslim Shareef) What more can explained about the Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty? Even if all of creation had to fall into Sajdah at once, they will never be able to repay one atom weight of one single Divine Mercy, leave alone the ninety nine Dimensions of Divine Mercy. 3 P a g e

www.musjidulhaq.com In the Hadith Shareef which explains the Day of Judgement and the Pul siraat, at the end of this Hadith Shareef, the beloved of Allah - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - mentions that Allah Almighty will command the Angels, If you find the slightest amount of goodness in the heart of anyone, remove them from the Fire of Hell. The Angels will then remove many people from the Fire of Hell and they will then say, O our Lord! Whatever you have commanded us, there is no one else who remains. Allah Almighty will declare, My Divine Mercy encompasses everything. Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Sa eed - may Allah be pleased with him - has also mentioned, If you do not believe what I have narrated then you should read the following verse. This is in Surah Nisaa, verse 40: ا ن اہلل ل ۃ یض ہا ق ال ذ رۃ ا ن ن ی ظ ل م م ث ک ح س ت ع ف و و ع ظ یما ۴۰ ی ؤ ت م ن ل ہ ا جرا ن Allah does not commit even the least injustice; and if there is a good deed, He doubles it and gives from Himself a great reward. Allah Almighty will then declare, The Angels have interceded, the Prophets have interceded, now only the Divine Being of Allah remains. He will then remove as per His Divine Being so much of people from the Fire of Hell whose only good deed was that they believed in Him as One Divine Creator. Their bodies would have become like coal. Near the door of Jannah, they will be placed into the fountain of eternal life and they will arise like someone who has been washed of all mud after a huge flood. They will arise like pieces of jewel. On their necks there were will be garlands of gold and the people of Jannah will recognize them and say, These are the servants of Allah who have been freed and who have been placed in Jannah without doing any good and noble deed. It will be told to them, Enter Jannah and whatever you see, it belongs to you. They will ask, O our Lord! You have given us so much which You have not given to anyone else. Allah Almighty will declare that there is something even better than this 4 P a g e

which is kept for them. They will ask what that is and Allah Almighty will declare, I have become pleased with you and will never become angry with you. (Sahih Muslim) It is mentioned that Nabi Adam - peace be upon him - will intercede for billions of humans and his intercession will be accepted. (Al Mu jam Al Awsat) Hadrat Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, My intercession will be for the major sinners among my Ummah. In one narration, it is mentioned that once a Bedouin asked the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him, O Prophet of Allah! Who will take account for creation?. In other words, in front of whom will we have to answer for our actions. The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - replied, (In front) of Allah Almighty. Again the Bedouin asked, Will He Himself take account? Again the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - replied that yes, it would be Allah Almighty. When he heard this, the Bedouin began to smile. The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - asked him the reason for smiling, he replied, When a Kareem has power over anything, He always pardons that person. When he holds to account, he forgives. When the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - heard these words, he declared, The Bedouin has spoken the truth. Understand! There is no greater Kareem than Allah. (Shuhubul Imaan) He then read a few couplets which meant, When the rights of someone had become established in front of the Kareem, then due to His Infinite Dignity, He forgives the person. He ignores the sins of those who have been disobedient even though their sins have been established and they are guilty. There is a famous hadith Shareef which mentions that the Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty had already superseded His Divine Wrath even before creation came into existence. (Al Ihya) It is mentioned that one day, a villager heard Hadrat Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas recite the 103 verse of Surah Ale Imran, which is: 5 P a g e

www.musjidulhaq.com ش ف ف ک ن ت م عل ا ح رۃ و ن م الن ار ف ا ن ق ذ ک م م ن ہا and you were on the edge of a pit of Fire (Hell), so He saved you from it; He then said, I swear by Allah that if the Ar Rahman and Ar Raheen wanted to throw me into the Fire of Hell, he would have never saved me. When Hadrat Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas - may Allah be pleased with him - heard these words, he declared, Bear in mind the words of this villager, it is very mighty even though he his (not a learned) scholar. (Al Ihya) It is mentioned that on the Day of Judgement, when Allah Almighty will wish to hide the actions of one of His slaves and not to embarrass him in front of anyone, the record of this person s sins will be given to him in his right hand. The person will be terrified when he sees the sins in this Book because he knows very well that he had committed many sins. Wherever there is a sin recorded, he will mention this softly. He will say to himself, Glory be to Allah, I do not have one single good deed. However, on the other hand, others will say about this person, Glory be to Allah! There is not a single sin on the record of this person. When he completes reading all of these sins softly, Allah Almighty will say to him, O My slave, I have revealed your good deeds in front of creation. I have hidden your sins and transgression in the world and in the Hereafter. O Angels! Take this person to Jannah. Hadrat Sayyiduna Aanis bin Malik - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that once the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - mentioned in the Divine Court of Allah Almighty, O Allah! Please give to me the record of their deeds so that no one is aware of their sins besides me. Allah Almighty replied, This is your Ummah and I am more Merciful on them than anyone. I will not give their accountability to anyone so that besides Me, no one will be aware of their sins. (Al Ihya) Hadrat Sayyiduna Mu awiyah bin Qurrah - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that Hadrat Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas ud - may Allah be pleased with him - has stated that, There are four verses in Surah Nisa which is more valuable to this Ummah than anything in the world. They are: 6 P a g e

One day, he went to visit one of his neighbours who was near death and he was also scolding his neighbour. He was saying to him, It 7 P a g e

ر www.musjidulhaq.com is a great tragedy that you were someone who had caused oppression to yourself (by sinning). Did I not give you good advice and used to stop you from doing bad deeds? The young person who was about to leave this world replied, O respected Muslim! If you leave my mother in charge of me and leave my affairs with her. What would my mother do with me? He replied, She will certainly allow you to enter Jannah. The young man replied, My Creator is even more Merciful on me than my mother. After a few moments, he passed away. It is reported that when his uncle placed him in his grave and started to set the grave, he started to scream. When people asked him what had happened, he replied, I had seen that the grave of the young man had become extremely expansive and it was filled with Nur. (Shuhubul Imaan) Hadrat Sayyiduna Umar - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that once some prisoners were presented to the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - and there was a female among them who was frantically running around. She then found a young child among the prisoners and after picking the little baby, she began to feed the child. The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - then asked, Look at this female. Will she be prepared to place her child in the Fire of Hell? The blessed companions replied, Certainly not. By Allah, she will never do this. The Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - then declared, Allah Almighty is certainly much more Merciful and Gracious upon His servants than this female is upon her child. (Sahih Muslim Shareef) When Allah Almighty is so Merciful upon His servants, it becomes all the more necessary upon us to obey Allah Almighty. Why do we keep turning away from Him and why do we not send before us actions that will benefit us in the hereafter? In Surah Baqarah, verse 110, the Qur an declares: 8 P a g e

And keep the prayer established, and pay the charity; and whatever good you send ahead for yourselves, you will find it with Allah; indeed Allah is seeing your deeds. Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr bin Sulaim Sawaaf - may Allah be pleased with him - mentions that, We were in the presence of Hadrat Sayyiduna Aanis bin Maalik - may Allah be pleased with him - on the evening when he was about to leave this world. We asked him, O Abu Abdullah! What do you feel at this moment? He replied, I do not know what I should tell you. However, you will continue to see the Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty until you are not held to account (for your deeds). We continued to sit with him until he passed away. (Al Mu wasasah, Ibn Abid Dunya) The Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty and the loneliness of the grave. It is mentioned that the Divine Mercy of Allah Almighty is seen that that time when one is placed in the grave and when the hard sand is placed on the side of his face, when his close friends and family all walk away from him. It is mentioned that when his clothes are removed and he placed on the wash basin, at that moment, the deceased screams out, How sad is my state. No one can hear him at this moment except Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty then says to him, My slave, I have hidden you in the world and in the Hereafter, you will also be hidden (in other words, your actions will be hidden). When the person is then led towards the cemetery, then too, at that time the person screams out. Allah Almighty says to him, O My slave, if today you are alone, then I am near to you. Do not have fear, I will pardon your sins and will bestow My Mercy on you when you are alone in the grave and in your loneliness, I will be there for you. When the people place him in the grave and leave, the deceased also screams at the immense loneliness which he feels. At that time, Allah Almighty declares, O My slave! Are you feeling afraid even though I am with you. Are you complaining about being alone when I am near you. O My slave! Am I not your Lord? The person will reply, yes, why not. Allah Almighty will then say, O My slave, did you abandon that which I had commanded you to do. Why did you become guilty of that which I had prohibited you to do? Did you now realise that eventually you would have to return to Me. That 9 P a g e

your actions would be presented to Me. Did you forget My Divine Promise? Did you ignore my Warnings and Promises? Today, your friends and companions have left you alone. Your wealth is no longer with you. Your wealth has been of no benefit to you. Your friends have no saved you from your bad deeds. What excuse do you have today? The slave will reply, My heart was captured by wealth and riches and both of them had encouraged me to sin. Today, I am in Your Divine Mercy and am Your guest today. Please do not let the Fire of Hell touch me. If You do not show Mercy on Me, who will show mercy on me? Allah Almighty will reply, O My slave! People have left you alone and even if they were with you, they would have been no benefit to you. They have turned you to My Divine Entrance and have left you in My Divine Mercy and Grace. O My slave! Breathe easily and cool your eyes that today you are My guest and the Divine Creator does not leave his guest alone. O Angels, entertain him with kindness and be more gracious and kind to him than his own family and friends. Hadrat Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him - narrates that the Holy Prophet - may Allah s peace and blessings be upon him - has stated that, If your sins and transgression are until the heavens and yet you make Taubah, then certainly te Allah Almighty will forgive you. (Sunan Ibn Maja) It is mentioned that once, Nabi Moosa - peace be upon him - called out to th Allah Almighty with the words, Ya Rabb. The Allah Almighty replied, Labbaik, Ya Moosa. Nabi Moosa - peace be upon him - then asked, O Allah! You are the Supreme Creator. What is my status that You would say Labbaik and answer me? Allah Almighty will declare, It pleases Me that My servant calls out to Me by saying Ya Rabb and I answer him by saying Labbaik. Nabi Moosa - peace be upon him - asked, Ya Rabb! Is this for all those servants who are obedient. The Allah Almighty replied, Yes and for all those who are sinners as well. 10 P a g e

Nabi Moosa - peace be upon him - asked, For those who are obedient, it is because of their obedience but why is this Divine Mercy shown to those who are sinners? Allah Almighty replied, O Moosa, If I reward those who are only good and do not show Mercy to those who disobedient as well, where will My Divine Mercy be seen? (Ar Roud Al Faa iq) 11 P a g e
