Barlow Deputy Grand Master, Roland G. Simon Grand Senior Warden, Steven R. Coleman Grand Junior Warden, Past Grand Masters, All Elected and Appointed Grand Lodge Officers, Past Masters, Worshipful Masters, Wardens and Brethren Fraternal Greetings,...The solemn notes which betoken the dissolution of our earthly tabernacle has once again alarmed our outer door and another spirit has been summoned to the land where our fathers have gone before us In the month of October this Grand Lodge suffered the loss of a gentle giant, Past Grand Master Henry Short, Sr., the 37 th Grand Master of the MWPHGLIL. Please remember and imitate his spirit and keep his family in our prayers. Also I solicit prayers for Past Grand Master Angelo W. Jones for his recuperation from throat surgery, Past Grand Master Clarence W. Trotter on the death of his aunt and brother, Roland G. Simon on the murder of his cousin and all other sick and bereaved throughout the Order. Let us be reminded that our ritualistic ceremonies were never intended to be read during the performances and that each of our rites may be someone s first impression of Masonry and therefore should be executed with competency and with the emotion that the author intended. The performances of ceremonies otherwise conducted are a disservice to the original patrons of Free Masonry and the Order. I, therefore, remind you that that if you are unable to perform ceremonies with proficiency that you contact the Grand Lecturer for assistance, further that he be informed of any impending Degree work. The month of November will bring about several important dates to remember. November 11 th, we will host our Annual Veterans Day Celebration where we pay tribute to those men and women who have served in the armed services. This celebration is open to all. If you have served please come out to be honored, if you know of others please bring them along and if you have not served please come out and show your support. There will be a repast following the ceremony. November will also bring about our Annual Feed the Community Program. Please see the attached Flyer for the names and locations throughout the State; and while being mindful of the many blessings we each enjoy let us come out and lend a hand in the service of those that are less fortunate. At the end of November we will make our donations toward hurricane relief. If you have not contributed thus far please find the attached instructions and do so by the end of the month.

As we continue to strive to make our Grand East self-sufficient, there are monthly fundraisers being planned at the Temple. I ask that you continue to support these initiatives as we continue to maintain and beautify our Masonic Temple. Please find the attached information for fundraisers and particularly our New Year s Eve Celebration and plan to attend. Additionally, all Bodies that meet at the Grand East that are delinquent in rental fees are directed to bring your deficiencies current by December 31, 2017 or contact a Grand Trustee to make payment arrangements. Finally, the deadline for inclusion in the 150 th Anniversary Yearbook is rapidly approaching. Please see the attached criteria and submit accordingly by November 30 th. Don t miss your chance to be a part of this significant memorabilia. Yours in Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, Dwayne A.
