The Praise Pulse Page 2 Did You Know?? You can check out You Tube Music online (on Bing, Google, or other search engines), type in a contemporary song title, and click to listen to it? (You can almost always find a video with the lyrics of the song typed on the screen so that you can sing along.) We cannot, by law, copy any of the music for people in the congregation to have. While our Praise team doesn't sing the songs exactly like the video, listening to the songs helps to hear the melody and the rhythm. Take a bulletin home from church with you next time and try it out! We are going to print a new member address directory towards the end of summer. We want to make sure your information is accurate in our database. There is a update form insert in this newsletter, if you could fill it out and turn it in, we would greatly appreciate it. Please put the form in the church secretary s mailbox in the office or slip it under her office door. Additional forms are in the narthex. You can also call the church office Mon-Fri, anytime between 9-3 p.m. to verify your information. James L. Elsner Rewards are wonderful! Signs I ve done something right and well. Life should be that way especially for Christians. It s not though. For Jesus has something better for us. July 9, 2017 Fifth Sunday after Pentecost Psalm: Psalm 145:1-14; Epistle: Romans 7:21-25a; Gospel: Matthew 11:25-30 Rest Easy! - Sermon Text: Matthew 11:28-30 - Rev. Dr. Thomas R. July 23, 2017 Seventh Sunday after Pentecost Psalm: 119:57-64; Epistle: Romans 8:18-25; Gospel: Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43 But We Are Different - Sermon Text: Romans 8:18-25 - Rev. Dr. Daniel J. Brege We Christians live in a fallen, corrupt world. There appears to be little difference between us and those who are non-christian (Christ's good plants and the weeds in today's parable look alike.). BUT our future glory far outweighs present sufferings...but we will be revealed as different/saved...but now in Christ we have hope...but our bodies, in Christ will rise. July 30, 2017 Eighth Sunday after Pentecost Psalm 125; Epistle: Romans 8:28-39; Gospel: Matthew 13:44-52 Are You Really Sure? - Sermon Text: Romans 8:28-39 - Rev. William Mueller Through the Apostle Paul our Lord makes a tremendous promise a promise that, at times, makes us want to scratch our heads and wonder, Are you really sure?
