Thank you Dear FBC Monroe: Thank you ALL for the incredible opportunity to once again serve as your Summer Ministry Intern! I am sad the summer is over, but I am grateful for a summer filled with such a wonderful Jesus-loving, and Spirit-filled congregation. This is by far the most loving and affirming congregation I ve ever had the privilege to be a part of. I came here to serve you, but you all have served me so well! You ve taught me, you ve pushed me, you ve encouraged me, and you ve loved me more than I could have possibly imagined! Thank you for all the opportunities this internship has allowed me: from teaching Youth Sunday School, to going to Passport with our youth, to making hospital and nursing home visits, to attending all types of meetings, to helping with VBS, to hosting the Youth s lock-in, to planning worship one Sunday and even preaching! By allowing me the chance to come and learn, I have felt God s affirmation and I don t think that would have been possible without each and every one of you. As I continue my education and continue answering the call I feel God has placed on my life, know that you ve made such a positive impression on my life and on my heart. For that, I am grateful. First Baptist Monroe has become my home over the past year and don t worry, I ll be back home soon. Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. I always pray for you, and I make my requests with a heart full of joy because you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. (Philippians 1:3-5 NLT) Much love, Megan Currie
