Shore of Ocean is endless As I walk along the shore of ocean In mind, feeling of peace starting motion As I sit on a soft wet sand The gentle waves touch my hand This aura of wonder and tranquility Stretching as far as my eyes can Watching the reflections move on the flow Feeling the comfort of its inner glow By: Abhishek Pani Class: VI-A No: 691 On how I wish, this feeling would stay As I know I must walk in the way Wish I could leave all hurts, pain and tears Behind me along, with all my fears By the waves rushing in, goal on their way Leaving us free of doubts and despair The ocean can be such a beautiful place I think that I have already known We reap whatever we sow I will keep looking forever more The endlessness of the blue ocean shore The huge and enormous And the infinity looks This feeling of life I took
The last dismay By: Aakar Kapoor Cl: XI-A No.1224 I thank Thee my Lord for everything you gave My parents there ever ready to save Thou gave me a life so wonderful indeed That I respect it like a religion and creed But is there happiness all around? Do all people thank Thee on the same ground? Nay, I fear to say that it doesn t Coz many of them live life as imprisoned. Thrown like heaps of rubbish Many of them orphans, yet more impoverish Beggars, sweepers and workers are they Is this their life s LAST DISMAY? Reduced to skeletons and malnutrition they are No one to love and none to take care Sleeping near bins and lurking by road Poverty and illiteracy added to their load. No demands to fulfill, as they have none, No games to play as we all have done
No study to beckon, though they need But we still think we are more worried, No homes to live, no God for them Neither coffee parlors, nor shops of precious gem No reason to live, it s better to die Still we worry and start to cry O mankind! we can make a difference, Let s write and abolish their suffurence Lets contribute a penny to change their fate Which God even refused and closed His gate. A small wish Pralisa Sahu Class-IX-A Admn no.-1159 Just a small wish I have to fulfil A wish that would make you still A small wish from this unsatisfying mind A wish that would make you go blind A small wish that I can die for A wish which will ask nothing more A small wish even bigger than a whale A wish describing a long tale A small wish surrounded by silence A wish carrying no violence A small wish as small as an ant
A wish mightier than the saint s chant A small wish is all I want A wish will you grant? Lonely I walk down the barren lands I walk down the lonely lanes I walk down the roads and terrains But find myself all alone. I walk down by the closed shops I walk down by the lonely rocks But all I find is wind roaring in a scary tone I walk down the sandy deserts I walk down the master arts But don t find a single living stone I walk down with the black sky I walk down with the stars that lie But all I find is a glowing stone I walk through the dark caves I walk down the town of the slaves But find no one to be called my own NO ONE TO BE CALLED MY OWN
Finding happiness ARPITA MOHAPATRA CLASS: 9-A I WENT MILES AND MILES TO FIND HAPPINESS BUT COULD N T FIND ANY KINDNESS. I TRIED TO FIND HAPPINESS IN A CAKE BUT UNFORTUNETLY IT WASN T BAKED. I TRIED TO FIND HAPPINESS IN A BIRD BUT IT FLEW AWAY INTO THE SKY OF LORD. THEN I TRIED TO FIND HAPPINESS IN DOLL BUT TNEN I KNEW IT COULD NEITHER TALK NOR ROLL. THEN I WENT TO A PARK AND DID NOT NOTICE A SINGLE MARK OF DARK. CAUSE I COULD FIND HAPPINESS ALL AROUND ME AS, I SAW THE VIEW OF MY LOVELY FAMILY TREE.
The Rainbow Samudra Banerjee Class: IV B Once a bird fell out of a tree but luckily a bird catcher caught it. He took the bird to his truck and drove his truck to his bird selling shop. The bird was a Rainbow Lorikeet. The bird remained there for some time, and then one day chrrrriiiiiiing chriing, someone was at the door. Come on Sam said Sam s mother. Coming Sam said. Hello there said the shopkeeper, What can I do for you? Hello! We d like a baby Rainbow Lorikeet, do you have one? said Sam s mother. Well you re in luck, just caught one yesterday! said the shopkeeper. Can we see it? Sam asked. Of course! the shopkeeper said, This way please. Sam and his mother followed him. It s so cute! gushed Sam s mother. How much is it for? 15 dollars the shopkeeper said. We ll take it! Sam s mother said. When they got home, Sam went straight to the computer to see what Rainbow Lorikeets eat and what they eat. Ah ha! Bingo! Sam shouted. What is it Sam? Sam s mother asked. Sam replied by saying, It says they eat nectar, seeds and they eat at the same time as humans!! Well done Sam and now you have to think about his name, said Mom. Sam thought a little bit and shouted, Hey I got it, he is RAINBOW! It was nearly lunch time. As soon as he saw the time he got a lovely cage, some water, some mangoes and some seeds. He put the bird in the cage, and then he put slices of mangoes in a bowl and seeds and water in another. Rainbow just looked at him. Then it chirped cheep, cheep, cheep as if it wanted to say thank you very much. But it didn t start eating straight away, he waited till Sam was at a safe distance, away from him, and then he started eating. As time passed by, Sam s care and love for the bird grew. One day, a few of Sam s friends came over to his house and as soon as they saw the bird, they started rattling the cage. They poked the bird, teased it and
they took food away from it. These were his friends but their acts were not that friendly. Then Sam realized that his friends were not good with pets. GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! NOW!! Sam screamed. Immediately, they got out of the house. And stay out, Sam called after them. Then he rushed over to the Rainbow Lorikeet. It was injured badly, very badly. It took two weeks for the poor bird to heal!! Are you okay? asked Sam. Cheep, cheep, said Rainbow enthusiastically. Time passed by happily until one day, Sam s mum came into the room saying, I ve got some bad news, and we have to move to Queensland in a few days. Queensland! In a few days! Sam yelled. Yes dear, mum said. Then the day came and Sam went to school and told his friends goodbye. At the end of the day his mum picked him up and said that they were going to leave tomorrow. Sam lay in his bed. Night turned into morning and the day arrived. So he got up, fed his pet and got ready himself. They left precisely at 8 o clock in the morning. They went to Queensland by air through the Sydney Airport. They rented a house and bought a car. It took three weeks to find a good school for Sam. It was not fun for Sam to stay home with no one to play with. Now Sam realized what it was like to be a bird cooped in a cage all the time! He felt sad for Rainbow. One morning Sam saw a flock of Rainbow Lorikeets flying over his house and thought that Rainbow should be free like others. He went to his mum and said, I m going to release Rainbow, with tears in his eyes. His mum came over to him and hugged him while saying, It was the right decision, son. Next morning, when he saw that flock again, he opened the cage and took the bird out and gently put him on the cornice of the balcony. Rainbow looked at him. He said, Rainbow, you are free! So go on and join your friends out there and please visit me sometimes, if you can. Before Rainbow flew off, he said, Cheep, cheep, cheep.
