Message from the Headmistress Independence means enjoying freedom and nempowering others ntoo to let them do so. May we march forward with a common goal; may we be open minded and work together in harmony; may we share our thoughts for integrated wisdom; may we follow the example of our ancestors who achieved higher goals by virtue of being united. -Rigveda Over 350 languages, more than 1600 dialects, nearly 650 tribes, so many religious and ethnic groups, so much cultural diversity..and yet one country! I feel so proud to be an Indian. With Independence, we just did not become free from the British rule; we regained the freedom to be what we are, to live the way we want to. And that freedom has been the hallmark of this great country. It is not a coincidence that India has hardly ever invaded a country in her long history-it is just her unwritten mission statement to be a giver, not a taker. Highlights of the Month Independence Day Cup Football Tournament. Independence Day Celebrations Story Telling Janmashtami Ganesh Chaturthi The context of freedom has changed but the concept of freedom is just as relevant today or even more so. There is no British Rule now, but there are greater ills prevalent in the country which we should promise to eradicate during our life time. SCHOOL OF INDIA will go a long way in inculcating the spirit of patriotism in the minds of children. I attended a workshop on School Leadership organized by the British Council. It provided insight into the challenges of Modern Day Schooling and solutions to overcome them smoothly. Regards Shyamashree Chaterjee (Headmistress)
