We invite all residents, staff and volunteers to a play and discussion: The Silent Crime Presented by Jewish Family Services November 24, 2014 at Hillel Lodge 2:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. The Pan-Canadian Elder Abuse Awareness Project is being run through Jewish Family Services. The main objective for this project is to raise as much awareness about elder abuse to the Ottawa Jewish Community as possible. The play is informative but as the same time the content is very light (given that this is a sensitive topic). Throughout the play there will be a few pauses where a narrator will engage the audience in a brief discussion on what they saw, the play will then resume. All of our actors are all dedicated volunteers, and as such are not professional actors. However, this makes the experience that much more fun and meaningful, given that all of the people involved are there because they want to be. We don t anticipate the play to run longer than 90 minutes. 5
