John 15:1,5 Dear brethren, We greet you in the Wonderful Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The month of July and August is like autumn, cool and dry. The trees are turning yellow and shedding their leaves. It is the season for animals migration, which is also the peak period for safari. The August school holidays have passed quickly and the students are back in school.

New Life Team Visit Rev. Daniel Khoo and team (comprised Kok Whye, Freddie and Janet Tan, Lucas Wong and Lilian) arrived on 14.7.07. During their stay, the Lord enabled them to perform many tasks: v Rev. Daniel Khoo ministered to many Pastors from our locality through the 1 st ever conducted Pastors Seminar since 1998. He shared with them from a book Changed: Experiencing God s Transforming Power by Rev. Bill Mills. The Pastors expressed that it was very enriching and wished it could have been extended for more than one day. Pastors Seminar at Kiluani Glory New Life Church v Bro.Freddie and Sis.Janet taught the children in Sunday School. Bro.Kok Whye ministered to about 10 students from Kiluani Sec. Sch. Bro. Lucas taught the youths in Youth Fellowship. v Bro. Kok Whye, Bro.Lucas and Joshua (our local worker) with Rev. Khoo took 2 days to work on the new generator. They checked and laid the cables. It was not an easy task in making necessary changes and ensuring that all the lines are working. This is especially so because the new generator was delayed and arrived only in the 2 nd week of their stay. The Lord granted Rev. D. Khoo much wisdom to solve all problems in good time. Praise the Lord! v The team also met up with the new Head Master of Kiluani SS. He expressed that the school is interested to work with the mission again. Praise the Lord. 2 Newsline

Life Team visit Life BP Church also sent a team comprising Bro. Lim Pin, Bro. Francis Leong, Sis. Mimi and Sis. Evelyn Tan. They arrived on 4.8.07. Sis. Mimi & Sis. Evelyn, VBS v In the 1 st week, Sis. Mimi and Sis. Evelyn conducted 3days Vacation Bible School (VBS) to about 120 children and also taught them in Sunday School. The children were happy and beaming with joy when they saw Sis. Mimi, who had visited them the year before. They enjoyed singing all the songs she taught them during last year s VBS. Now they learned more bible stories, new songs and art & craft. They were teachable and enjoyed all the lessons very much. v Bro. Lim Pin and Bro. Francis Leong spoke at the Church Seminar for 2 days. They taught the church lessons on giving, prayer, and women leadership in Church. They also covered female circumcision and showed a videotape on the evils of Female Circumcision and idolatry. Praise God that about 80% of our local church members came for the seminar. It had never been so well attended by the members before. Some of the ladies came very early in the morning to prepare lunch before the seminar so that they will not miss any of the messages. They have learned much from the messages. Surely, they must have grown in commitment to and shown a greater interest in the word of God. Pastor David Aluvisia from Lenkejabe Church came with some of his church members on the 2 nd day of the seminar. We thank God for all visitors from New Life and Life BP Church who had brought invaluable spiritual blessing to us at Kiluani. Praise God for enabling each of them to use their talents well for His glory. The Lord confirmed His blessing by sending a few days of good rain to us in August. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. 14 October 2007 3

Mission v Joshua, our general worker cum guard learned much from Rev. Daniel Khoo on how to lay and fix up the cables and light. v Currently, all the houses, clinic and church are lighted up. At night, Kiluani is like a little town from far. Thank God for the New Life team for their efforts have made life more comfortable for us, and for Lifers gift of the new generator. v All the mission staff had a good meeting with Rev. Daniel Khoo. He encouraged and commended them for their faithfulness and good work with the mission. v Thank God that Kenya Power (the utilities board of Kenya) has installed the transformer but they have yet to connect the cables to our station. Clinic v In July, a team of trainees from Kikuyu Mission Hospital came here to conduct the Eye Clinic and do some simple eye surgery e.g. Surgery for Trichiasis and I & D for chalazion. Trainee doing a simple eye surgery v Two months ago, a 15yr. old Maasai lady delivered a baby girl with a face presentation. I had never encountered such cases before. By God s grace the baby was delivered but was flat at birth. The good Lord revived the baby after resuscitation. All glory to our Great Physician. v Three weeks ago, another lady delivered a premature baby at about 32 weeks gestation. Thank God for sustaining the baby boy. He weighs about 1.1kg only. He was then transferred to Kajiado Hospital immediately. I visited him last week; he was doing well and growing. The mother was very grateful to God for preserving her baby because she had a miscarriage in her 1 st pregnancy. Praise the Lord. In all challenges, We can trust our All-Knowing God for overcoming the difficult situation. 4 Newsline

Church Baptism the first at Kiluani Glory New Life Church, 22 July 2007 1. On 22.7.07, Rev. Daniel Khoo conducted the 1 st baptism since the mission started in 1997. He baptized 4 ladies and had 6 transfer of membership. Holy Communion was also administered for the 1 st time. It was a day of rejoicing in the Lord. 2. During the 2 teams visits, a Pastor s Seminar, a children VBS and a Church Seminar were conducted. Young and old, all are blessed by the visitors. Praise the Lord. 3. Two weeks ago, the youths with eight mamas and 3 men climbed a mountain. Mama David Keru, a grandmother of about 80yrs old cheerfully and victoriously reached the summit. With God all things are possible. Glory to His Name. 4. We had John Letuya, 2 nd year student from Bible College of East Africa (BCEA) to speak on Following Christ. We also spent some time in group praying. Thank God for the blessed time of seeking Him up on the mountain. 5. Pastor Omweri was away for a month to take a rest at home due to his recent poor health. Thank God that he is well now. Prayer Items 1. Since the 2 nd team left, we have not been receiving rain. Do pray that the Lord will send rain. 2. The church members and the youths will grow in commitment and hunger for God s word esp. those who were baptized. 3. The men in the church will be committed in the Lord. 4. That Kenya Power will soon connect the cables for us. 5. The medical ministry will continue to be a channel of witness and blessing to the community. 6. Wisdom and good health for all who are serving the Lord. His unworthy servant Puimeng 14 October 2007 5

Pray also for the Lord to provide for their families. Pray for the Chinese brethren that they will grow in the faith and understanding of the Word of God. Pray for the nationals that worship with us on Sundays that the Lord will be merciful and save many. ndian Ministry Pray for the Indian National Sunday evening ministry among the Indian nationals - about 30 or more - that many will come to receive the Lord. Pray that some of the more faithful brethren will be catechised and added to our church. Pray for Pr. Nathan and helpers to share the same godly vision to do the good work. New Life, London Pray for New Life London that the Lord will provide a resident pastor. Pray for Bro. Mok and his wife Carol to serve faithfully and with commitment and that all their efforts will add to the church in London. Also remember Mok s studies at the Tabernacle. Pray for unity of vision among the leaders and church members at NLBPC, London. Pray for God s wisdom for the leaders in NLBPC, Singapore as they oversee the church in London. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh ntercession for the saints according to the will of God.
