WELCOME

We are the church: serving, growing, connecting together - for the glory of God!

Welcome // Here at WCC, we like to say that we are the church: serving, growing, connecting together for the glory of God! We don t want to be people who just go to church, we want to be the church. Pastor s Note YOU ARE WELCOME HERE Searching for a new church can be an intimidating experience. Thank you for visiting us. We are people, on a journey together, chasing after a better way to live. We are people just like you, who happen to believe that Jesus is the greatest thing that ever happened to us. WCC exists to honor God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ. We aren t people who used to be like you, tolerate people like you, or fix people like you. We really are people just like you. Brian Schulenburg

Who We Are // WCC is a diverse group of people who love God, love people, and make disciples. AUTHENTIC We re not perfect. We re real people just like you. People are comfortable connecting here because they don t have to pretend to be someone they re not. TRUE We re not perfect, but God is. We take the Bible seriously. We believe that every story in it is true. As such, teaching biblical truth matters deeply to us. Our worship experience isn t a show; it s a celebration of God s faithfulness. We are a church that makes much of Jesus. About Us CONNECTED We believe that people grow best when they are connected to others. In time, WCC can feel like an extended family. We re multigenerational and love it! Our connectedness means that we live life together every day not just on Sundays. ENERGIZED Jesus cares about the church making a difference beyond the walls of the building. WCC is inspired to live out commands of Jesus, sharing His truth, standing up for justice, and acting with compassion.

Infant-5th Grade // We love and value children and their families! We want to help kids know Jesus and grow in His Word. As partners, coming alongside of parents, WCC Children s Ministry makes learning about Jesus a fun and memorable experience. Children s Ministry CHILDREN S MINSTRY During the school year, WCC offers quality children s programming on Sunday mornings. We also offer a fantastic Wednesday night ministry for kids Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Nursery runs year-round on Sunday mornings. Special events are planned throughout the year including Vacation Bible School, retreats, and a Christmas musical. Every one of our volunteers passes a background check and is trained regularly. Rest assured, we will take good care of your kids. Contact Children s Ministry, children@wccmn.org

6th-12th Grade // StudentLife is our ministry for 6th-12th graders. There is always something happening. Weekly programming, special retreats, adventure trips, service projects and mission trips within the U.S. and internationally make 6th-12th grade an incredible time of life at WCC. Student Ministry STUDENT MINISTRY During the school year, WCC offers quality student programming on Sunday mornings, including a class for middle school students, a class for 9th-10th graders, and a class for 11th-12th graders. Students in 6th-12th grade meet during the school year for The Rock. This is our biggest youth event of the week and a great place to invite friends. We also have student small groups that meet during the school year. Contact Student Ministry, students@wccmn.org

Everybody Has a Story // Here at WCC, we recognize that everybody has a story. Your story, all of it, is safe here. Whether you are single, married, divorced, searching, thriving, surviving, wishing, worrying, 5 kids, no kids, secure, scared, broken, whole, 87, 27... it s about YOU and GOD. Adult Ministry ADULT MINISTRY WCC offers opportunities for adults to connect on a variety of levels, including Adult Bible Fellowship classes on Sunday mornings during the school year, small groups that meet throughout the week, the WCC School of Discipleship, and growing Men s and Women s Ministries. Adults have opportunities to connect in a variety of events including retreats, conferences, service opportunities, and sports. Contact Adult Ministry, adults@wccmn.org

Life is Better Together // God didn t create us to live life all alone. He created us to live in community with others. Small groups are one of the best ways for you to grow spiritually and experience what it means to live in community with others. Small Groups SMALL GROUPS Meeting throughout the week in various locations, Small Groups serve as a place for fellowship with others, exploration of the Bible, strengthening community, prayer, and spiritual growth. Many small groups take part in community service or other outreach events. We have groups for men, women, couples, singles, youth, mixed groups, and more. There is always a space for you! Contact Small Groups, smallgroups@wccmn.org

An Incredible Calling // But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Jesus, in Acts 1:8 Missions MISSIONS Jesus entrusted His church with an incredible responsibility. We are His plan for sharing the Gospel across the street and around the world. WCC partners with missionaries here in the Twin Cities and around the world to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Short-term mission trips are taken regularly to support our ministry partners and to see firsthand what God is doing throughout the world. Contact Missions, missions@wccmn.org

Inspired To Act // God has stirred the hearts of so many at WCC to spread Christ s love in our community. We do this by reaching out specifically, as we feel Christ through Scripture calls us to do, to orphans, widows, refugees, prisoners, the global poor and the oppressed. Compassion Ministries COMPASSION MINISTRIES There is no shortage of ways to serve through the ministries of WCC and our compassion partners. We work with the Christian Cupboard Emergency Food Shelf, Kozefò, Refugee Life Ministries, Safe Families for Children, Share Because You Care, and Stephen Ministry to make an impact in the lives of many. Check out our website to see how you can get involved in these grassroots ministries of compassion. Contact Compassion Ministries, compassion@wccmn.org
