COMMUNITY BIBLE EXPERIENCE (CBE) Read The New Testament Like Never Before! READ BIG...READ REAL... READ TOGETHER As an expression of the WORD component of PLMC s DNA of SPIRIT- WORD-COMMUNITY, we enter into the adventure of reading the whole of the New Testament together as a church family. Frequently Asked Questions Qn 1. I am already doing a bible study. How is CBE useful to me? Ans. What Community Bible Experience offers is an excellent opportunity for anyone at any stage of their journey to engage with the full picture of God s story! This provides a great foundation and context for more detailed study of chapter and verse. It also helps develop a love for God s word and his people. After all, whenever we study a book the first thing we do is read it all of it before digging down into the detail of key messages and characters. Qn 2. Why can t we use our own bibles? Why do we need to use The Books of the Bible: New Testament? Ans. It is designed to feel more like reading the original text. You will be amazed by the things you will notice with these simple changes (i.e. Bibles that have the verse and chapter numbers removed). You will notice stories and passages that you have never noticed before and gain a greater appreciation for God s living word. Qn 3. I am not in a cell group. How do I participate in the CBE? Ans. If you are not in a cell, please register at the booth in the Fellowship Hall TODAY. The small groups will meet on Thursdays, 7.30pm to 9.30pm and on Saturdays, 10am to 12pm, with a choice of the 8-week reading plan or 16-week reading plan. Qn 4. When will the CBE be launched? Ans. We will launch the CBE on Sunday, 5 August 2018 Page 3
