Homeless children and their families are moving into new housing and you can help! Family Promise is seeking volunteers who are willing and able to help move furniture and boxes for Family Promise guest families. When a family is moving out, we contact the volunteers on our list to see who is available to help. The more, the merrier since only a few helpers are needed at a time, the more volunteers on the list, the fewer times you ll be asked to step up to help! We re also looking for volunteers, with a truck or able to drive a large van, to help pick-up furniture donated for our families. If you can help with these projects, contact Laura Vincenti at 724-229-1129 or 412-921-2916 or lvincenti_familypromiseswpa@comcast.net.

8 Brother, can you spare a blanket or pillow? Our Family Promise ministry to homeless children and their parents needs our help! They were blessed with the funding enabling them to retire their worn-out rollaway beds and invest in inflatable air mattresses, offering a more comfortable bed for the guest families and less of a strain on our volunteers who do the set-up. To facilitate this transition, we are collecting new and gently-used twin size blankets of all weights, and NEW standard size pillows. We also need 5-6 more twin sheet sets. To make your donation, please contact Dan Wolfe or Lynne Suchoza thru the church office. Thank you for helping to make our guests more comfortable during their time of crisis. All Church Picnic sponsored by the Bridgeville Ministerim at Chartiers Park on Sunday, July 15 th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Paper Products & Beverages provided. Bring a side dish or dessert plus lawn chairs. Adult Mentors Needed: South Hills Interfaith Ministries is in need of adults (ages 21+) for their new mentoring program. Mentors will work with middle and high school refugee youth in small groups at SHIM s Family Assistance Center in Whitehall. Responsibilities will include facilitating discussions, helping with activities and community service projects and serving as positive role models for the students. Mentors are asked to commit 2 hours each week (6:30 pm to 8:30 pm) on Wednesday or Thursday.
