Message from International Service Director of RAC Kathmandu Mid-Town Dear Rotaractors, When this Rota Year began, as an International Service Director, I was trusted with a huge responsibility of linking my club with the International Rotaract clubs of the RI Family. When I got an opportunity to learn about Rotaract club of Thane central via Rtr. Indraneel, my happiness knew no boundaries because I knew that we met another Rotaract club which has been carrying the spirit of Fellowship through Service, the same spirit which Rotaract club of Kathmandu Mid-Town has been carrying out since our charter days. I knew that we had found another Rotaract club with whom we can establish a long lasting and wonderful friendship ahead this year and many more years to come ahead. Major projects of RAC Thane Central (Recognized by district as well) Krushna: A club service fundraiser that garnered a lot of publicity. It was a classical ballet performance based on the life of Lord Krishna. Fight For India: It was an inter school quiz competition conducted across 14 schools in the city with the aim of increasing their general knowledge. Major projects of RAC Kathmandu Mid-Town Mega Vision Screening Program: Vision Screening has been known as the flagship project of RAC Kathmandu Mid-Town. So, every year the club organizes the screening program to prevent school children from avoidable blindness. Hence, this year is being no exception club is doing it in mass scale. Workshop on Reproductive & sexual health: To disseminate the basic knowledge about reproductive and sexual health RAC Ktm Mid-Town jointly with Y-PEER Nepal organized full day workshop themed reproductive and sexual health at Rara Hill School, Kirtipur on 21 st July 2012.
