Whatever It Takes to be United in Christ s Love: Through our Faith, Our Families, and our Community is our motto at Marietta First Baptist Church! This month s verses are Psalms 25:4-5, Make Your ways known to me, Lord; teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; I wait for You all day long. We will be embarking with a new sermon series called Whatever It Takes: Looking Back To Move Forward through the month of September. In the month of August we had another great month of ministry. On August 7 th we hosted the National Night Out for our local police force and fire stations. We had an amazing community turnout and handed out hot dogs and information about our church. Thanks to everyone who came out! We also had an amazing Student 4:12 Day and Christ Kidz Carnival. We could not do it without you! We can praise God that we are seeing lives changed forever! I am really looking forward to some ministries we have this month. On September 9 th we will be recognizing our Senior Adults and grandparents in the morning worship service. The service will be called Looking Back To Move Forward. Rev. Maurice Henson will be preaching that morning. We will have a Generations Luncheon for our Senior Adults after Sunday School. On September 26 th we will have our Moving Forward Building Fund Sunday. I ask for you to continue to pray about what God would ask you to give. Charles Spurgeon said, To trust in God in the light is nothing, but to trust him in the darkthat is faith. As we look back we can remember some amazing things happening in our lives, but as we look forward we must keep our eyes on Jesus Christ. I want to say that I love you and look forward to what God is going to do. In Christ, Dr. Brian L. Spearman

Recently we discussed this statement, " The Bible describes life this way: We live in a broken world as people who struggle daily". The good news in dealing with this statement is that we know the answer to this struggle- a new life in Jesus Christ! Please continue to pray for this ministry and share with family and friends and co-workers. Jimmy & Rhonda FAST team meeting September 26 after the evening service in the conference room The start of the school year means many changes for all of us. Even those without children see increased traffic, buses and school crossings. This is a good time to remind ourselves about child safety. At MFBC we take child safety most seriously and as always we appreciate your assistance. So when asked to sign in or out, pick up children personally or whatever measures we may put in place it is always intended to benefit the child and family. Your assistance is needed and most appreciated! Working together we can continue to keep MFBC safe for all to worship together! Jimmy & Rhonda As the summer begins to change into fall the migrants will be finishing up in our area and preparing to move on. Please continue to remember these hard workers in your prayers. It is a difficult life style being separated from family for many months at a time. Thanks for your prayers and support of this ministry outreach. In His Service, Jimmy & Rhonda
