We are Devoted to Building Bridges Between People and Christ; and to Build up that Body of Believers for Ministry & Maturity as God s Family. First Christian Church December 2011 Helping Those In Need God s Plan of Redemption (John 3:16; Titus 3:3-5; Romans 3:21-26) God Sent His only begotten Son to save man from sin. Jesus was crucified as an atonement for sin. We Believe that Salvation is Through Faith In Christ (Romans 3:21-22a: Ephesians 2:-9) We are not saved by our good works, but by faith in the saving work of Christ on the cross. Faith is expressed by: Humbly trusting in Christ, not ourselves. (Romans 1:17) A genuine repentance from sin. (Luke 13:5) A public confession of Jesus as Savior and Lord. (Romans 10: 9-10) A submission to the command to be baptized into Christ. (Acts 2:3) Once again many baskets will be filled with food items given by families at FCC. Please join us, Wednesday, December 14th, 6:30 pm as we deliver these Food Baskets to families in the Carthage area. Once again, we are partnering with LifeChoices Outreach Ministries, by participating in their 2011 Tree of Life. Trees are located in the Lighthouse and the main Church building. Simply take an ornament from one of the trees, purchase the item listed, and place it unwrapped under the tree with the ornament attached. Items received are used in the New Baby Baskets and distributed to LifeChoices clients when their babies are born. Items can be returned through Dec. 25th.

Project 3 Senior Saint's Lunch Tuesday, December, 6th 11:30 am @ the Lighthouse Menu: Ham w/pineapple, Loaded Mashed Potato Casserole, Green Beans, Watergate Salad, Rolls & Dessert Cost: $5.00 Sign up in Sunday School class or by contacting the Church office. Constructing a small deck with wheelchair ramps in Carthage for a member of FCC. This project will take all day. If you can only donate part of the day, please still come.
