Faith Nurturing June 13 th members of our youth community will leave for their mission trip. Their mission is to make livable some homes of elderly citizens that have been damaged by storms and floods in southern Missouri. They will be involved in painting, clean up, and carpentry work. The group will make their headquarters in Springfield at the Kings Way United Methodist Church where they will eat and sleep. From there they will travel east to Mountain Grove, MO for one or two days and on another day they will go the opposite direction to Joplin. To pay for this trip the youth have sponsored dinners and held a rummage sale. In addition, the youth have had to accumulate service hours for the church to qualify to go. Yes, as Kyle Gelatko observed, they have had to do service in order to give service for others. This trip would not be possible without your support and dedicated adults who are involved in our youth ministry. A special salute goes to Ginny Hall, Tim and Elizabeth Hicks, Mike and Colleen Gelatko, Keith Asaeli and Ginny Bottrell. These faithful adults have agreed to give up their time, travel in their own cars and sleep on cots in order to go with our youth to be servants for the youth mission trip. Dr. Jim Youth Mission Trip June 13 th -16 th to southern Missouri. Potluck Dinner and Concert June 10 th there will be a congregational meeting after worship to approve budget and leaders for the 2018-19 year. Regional CWF service project for April, May, and June is the collection of any size diapers for Micah Ministry which is housed at Independence Boulevard Christian Church. The diapers can be left in the narthex or in Ginny s office. Tuesday CWF will meet on June 12 th at 11:30 at the Longhorn Steakhouse in Belton for our end of year celebration. This is always a fun time of fellowship and food to end our year of study. All ladies of the church are invited. Heartland Interregional is coming: Friday, June 22 nd - Sunday, June, 24 th at Culver-Stockton College. The theme is Called Connected and Charged For Christ. Registration deadline is June 1 st. Ginny and Karen Yount are planning to attend. If you are interested or have questions please talk to Ginny. An Important Reminder Don t forget to bring your Best Choice bar codes and Box Tops for Education labels to the church. They go for a very good cause. Bags are on the bulletin board in the hallway across from the church offices. We really appreciate your help. When Christian Women s Fellowship reaches 1,000 Best Choice bar codes they are awarded money for reaching that goal. This money helps with our outreach contributions, so please remember to bring your Best Choice bar codes. There is now a box in the narthex for Best Choice bar codes and Box Tops for Education, in addition to the bags on the CWF bulletin board in the hallway.
