Adam and Eve Part 2 by Victor Torres Hello children. Last time we learned that the Bible is a love story. It is the story of a Father's love for His children. That is the reason why God sent His firstborn Son to the world to save it. Joh 3:16 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. Joh 3:17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn its people. He sent him to save them! We also learned last time that the reason God used soil or earth to create Adam is to tell us that we are like the earth first, lifeless and in the dark. We are in the dark because we are blinded by the god who rules this world Satan. 2Co 4:4 The god who rules this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. They cannot see the light, which is the good news about our glorious Christ, who shows what God is like. I want you to notice some things about this verse children. First, we are told that at first, we don't see the secrets that God has hidden in the Bible by using code words. We were blind to His truths. We didn't know about this good news that Christ was sent to save the whole world. We didn't know that He is the one who created both darkness and light, both good and evil. We didn't know that we all start out as sinful and then we are all going to be changed to be holy like Jesus Christ. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive. We are all in Adam first. In Adam, we are given a sinful body and a sinful mind. Both are temporary. This verse also tell us that in Christ, we will all be given a spiritual body and a spiritual mind.

For as in Adam all die,... We are all like a caterpillar at first. When we are acting like Adam ( in Adam ) we are acting like a caterpillar. We are very selfish at first. We eat and eat and we don't care that we are harming the plant that we are eating. Eph 2:1 In the past you were dead (like the earth = lifeless and in the dark) because you sinned and fought against God. Eph 2:2 You followed the ways of this world and obeyed the devil. He rules the world, and his spirit has power over everyone who doesn't obey God. Eph 2:3 Once we were also ruled by the selfish desires (wants) of our bodies and minds. We had made God angry, and we were going to be punished like everyone else. When we are in Adam, we follow the ways of this world and we obey the devil. All we can think of is to have fun. All we want is to become rich and famous.

. even so in Christ all will be made alive. When we act like Christ, we act like a butterfly. We are now a new creation: 2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. We do eat the nectar of flowers, but we do help them to spread. In other words, we create new life! What does it mean to being a new creation? Let's read 2 Corinthians 5:17 this time from the Contemporary English Version: 2Co 5:17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.

When we belong to Christ, we will think and act differently from other people. We would think and act like Christ. Christ didn't live on this earth to be rich or famous, so we would not want to be rich or famous either. Christ didn't live on this earth to have fun. He came here to serve others. So when we belong to Christ, we will want to serve others also. For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ ALL will be made alive. I have capitalized the word ALL that appears twice in this verse because the Bible is the story of all people. It is our story. All people will be given eternal life in two groups. We learned last time that the first group is the elect or the body of Christ. The second group is everyone else. What does this have to do with the story of Adam and Eve? It has everything to do with the story of Adam and Eve. Let's take a look at how God created Eve.

Gen 2:21 So the LORD God made him fall into a deep sleep, and he took out one of the man's ribs. Then after closing the man's side, Gen 2:22 the LORD made a woman out of the rib. The LORD God brought her to the man, Did you notice how our Lord created the first woman? There's a reason God did not take another handful of earth to create the woman. Gen 2:23 and the man exclaimed, "Here is someone like me! She is part of my body, my own flesh and bones. She came from me, a man. So I will name her Woman!" She was created out of the man's rib. She is Adam's flesh and bones. Gen 2:24 That's why a man will leave his own father and mother. He marries a woman, and the two of them become like one person. Adam and Eve are not only the first people in the world, they are also the first married people in the world. Kids, God is using a code word here again. This time He is using marriage as code word for two people becoming like one person. In other words, they think and act the same way. Let's see who Christ thinks and acts the same way as: Joh 5:19 Jesus told the people: I tell you for certain that the Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing, and he does exactly what he sees the Father do. So the Father and the Son acts as one person. A person is made up of a head and a body. A married couple acts like one person because the body does everything what the head wants it to do. We have a head and a body. We do everything with our body. But whatever we want to do, we think it first with our head. So if we want to go to the ice cream shop, we would think to change our clothes first, then our arms and legs and the other parts of our body will do the actual work of changing our clothes. But it is the head that commands everything our body is doing. 1Co 11:3 Now I want you to know that Christ is the head over all men, and a man is the head over a woman. But God is the head over Christ. God and His son acts as one person. God is the head of Christ. Christ is the body of God the Father. The Father does everything that He wants done,

including the creation of the whole universe through His Son, His body. So God is using Adam and Eve here and their relationship as husband and wife to show us the relationship between Him and His Son Jesus Christ. The Son is submissive or obedient to the Father as the wife should be submissive or obedient to the husband. But Christ is a head also and has a body also: Eph 5:28 In the same way, a husband should love his wife as much as he loves himself. A husband who loves his wife shows that he loves himself. Eph 5:29 None of us hate our own bodies. We provide for them and take good care of them, just as Christ does for the church, The Head loves the body. The Father loves the Son and the Son loves His body. Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. There it is kids. The church = Christ's body, Christ's flesh and bones. Eph 5:31 As the Scriptures say (in Gen 2:24), "A man leaves his father and mother to get married, and he becomes like one person with his wife." Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery [this is a great secret because very few people know this], but I understand it to mean Christ and his church. Christ is the Head of all men (and women) but He will change His body first to be like Him, to become like one person, to think and act the same way, like He and His Father does. 2Co 3:18 So our faces are not covered [we are not blindfolded anymore, we do not believe the devil who blinds our minds anymore]. They show the bright glory of the Lord, [Our faces show the bright glory of the Lord means we think and act like our Lord now] as the Lord's Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord. There is a proper order that God will change and save all of mankind. 1Co 15:23 But each one will be raised in proper order: Christ, first of all; then, at the time of his coming, those who belong to him. He changes those who belong to Him first, His body. 1Pe 4:17 For it is time for judgment (teaching and correction) to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those

who do not obey the gospel of God? He changes His body first by judging us, by correcting us, by teaching us how to live this life. Remember Christ is the Head of His body, the church. So He does all these judging, all these teaching and correcting through those who belong to His body. Let's review all the code words we have learned so far: Birds = spirits, good and evil Earth = what we are first, lifeless and in the dark Darkness or Blindness = not knowing and understanding God's truths in the Bible Light = when we know and understand the Bible Married people = Two people thinking and acting like one person, like the Father and the Son and the Son and His body, the church Head and body = The Head loves the body and the body does everything the Head wants So the earth (us and all people of the world) besides being in darkness, we see that it is also lifeless at first. Why does the Bible say we are lifeless at first? What is life? Joh 17:3 Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent. Dear children, we learned that Jesus Christ (the Head) will do everything through His body. So whoever is teaching you right now to know more about God the Father and Jesus Christ is part His body. Your dad or your mom (or both of them) who brought you here and teaches you things about the Father and His Son is giving you true life. We believe that we will be part of the group who will be changed and saved first. And we want you to be part of that first group also.

What will happen with everyone else who are not part of this first group? 1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 1Ti 2:4 who will have all men [all mankind] to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. They will know what we are learning here also, and they will be saved also. 1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
