Ancient History Curriculum Our primary spine will be Mystery of History, but since this is our first time venturing out of a boxed curriculum I added in other possible spines to find the one that fits best. Some of the scheduling of the books was found in the files of the Mystery of History yahoo group. Here are the materials we are using: MOH- Mystery of History Volume 1 (2 nd edition) SOTW- Story of the World Volume 1 CHOW- A Child's History of the World UAH- Usborne World History: Ancient World JttB- David C. Cook Journey through the Bible (formerly Victor Journey Through the Bible MT- MapTrek Volume 1: Ancient World Extra Reading- the different marks at the beginning of the books only categorizes them for me to identify which library has them HP- History Pockets: Ancient Civilizations (grades 1-3) *At the end of the curriculum is a list of read alouds. While putting the list together I noticed there were clusters of good books during certain time periods so my intention is to read through the books chronologically even if it doesn't match up completely with what we are currently studying in Mystery of History. The number after the book will show you which lesson it best lines up with. We will start this curriculum in January and I will try to update anything that may need it as we work our way through it. Please let me know if you find anything that needs fixed. Enjoy!
