Christ the Redeemer C H U R C H First Sunday in Advent December 2nd, 2018 A.D.
God Calls Us to Worship CALL TO WORSHIP from the PSALM OF THE DAY - Psalm 25 In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen! Amen! I was glad when they said unto me, "Let us go into the house of the Lord!" Our feet are standing within your gates, O Jerusalem. (Ps. 122:1-2) To You I lift up my eyes, to the One enthroned in Heaven, Our eyes look to Yahweh our God, till He has mercy upon us! Amen! (Ps. 123:1,2) Processional Hymn: Lift Up Your Heads, pg. 224 The grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you! And also with you! Our Help is in the Name of Yahweh! Maker of Heaven and Earth! God Cleanses Us of Our Sins People of God, this is a trustworthy saying and deserving of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world save sinners. Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you. (1 Timothy 1:15; James 4:6-10) 2
Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen. Hymn for Mercy: Franklin Kyrie (Cantate Deo, pg. 65) 3

Because thou didst send thy beloved Son to redeem us from sin and death, and to make us heirs in him of everlasting life; that when he shall come again in power and great triumph to judge the world, we may without shame or fear rejoice to behold his appearing. May I Come to the Lord s Table? The Lord s Supper is observed weekly here at Christ the Redeemer Church. We warmly invite to the Lord s Table all baptized disciples of Jesus Christ, and their baptized children, who are under the authority of Christ and His Church. By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a visitor, you are acknowledging that you are a sinner, without hope except in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. If you have any doubt about your participation in communion, please feel free to speak to the Pastor before or after the service.
