WELCOME & ANNOUNCEMENTS * OPENING SONGS OUR GOD REIGNS (How Lovely On The Mountains) How lovely on the mountains are the feet of Him Who brings good news good news Announcing peace proclaiming news of happiness Our God reigns our God reigns. Chorus Our God reigns our God reigns Our God reigns our God reigns He had no stately form He had no majesty That we should be drawn to Him He was despised and we took no account of Him Yet now He reigns with the Most High. Chorus: Out of the tomb He came with grace and majesty He is alive He is alive God loves us so see here His hands His feet His side Yes we know He is alive. Chorus: HOW GREAT THOU ART O Lord my God! when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds thy hands have made. I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, My Savior God to thee How great Thou art, How great Thou art. Then sings my soul, My Savior God to thee How great Thou art, How great Thou art. When through the woods and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees. When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur; And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze. Chorus: And when I think that God His Son not sparing Sent Him to die I scarce can take it in; That on the cross my burden gladly bearing He bled and died to take away my sin. Chorus: When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home what joy shall fill my heart! Then I shall bow in humble adoration and there proclaim My God how great Thou art. Chorus
RITE OF BAPTISM Emma Lou Olson BRIEF ORDER OF CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS P: God of all mercy and consolation, come to the aid of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that, attentive to your Word, we may confess our sins, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. C: Amen ~ Pause for a moment of self-examination. ~ P: Gracious God, C: have mercy on us. In your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things done and left undone. Uphold us by your Spirit so that we may live and serve you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your holy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen P: Almighty God who is rich in mercy hears us confessing our sin through the blood of Jesus Christ His Son. You and I are forgiven today because He is righteous and just to forgive us when we confess. You are forgiven! In the place of the guilt and shame receive the peace and joy of the Lord strengthening you in newness of life. First English Opportunities to Serve We are in need of people to help out in specific areas of the church, some of these are on-going, some are a 1-2 hour project, can you help? We need readers, greeters, ushers and people to serve in the kitchen, every Sunday morning. Sign-up sheets are on a table in the fellowship hall. Technical assistance is needed with the sound system, are you tech-savvy or a Facebook expert? Please talk to Pastor Jim. We need some help with the maintenance of the ramp on the west side of the church, please talk to any board member or one of the pastors. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 1 Corinthians 12:5-6
