We are delighted to have you in worship. We ask that you please sign the Fellowship Pad at the end of the pew. We have nursery adjacent to the sanctuary, complete with an available paging system. We also have a Cry Room at the back of the Sanctuary (near the usher s table) on the pulpit side with windows and a speaker so that you can see and hear the service. Please turn off cell phones and pagers before worship. Thank you. The Chiming of the Hour We Gather Before God The Welcome and News of the Church The Prelude Lord Jesus Christ Be With Us Now J. Walther The Call to Worship *The Hymn no. 501 Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah Prayer of Confession Lord, we remember in these moments what we would be without You: captive to our sins and impulses, our fears and regrets, alone in our failures, existing but not alive. We remember what we are with You: forgiven and set free, saved and blessed abundantly, given life and hope. In these moments we confess our need and express our thanks. Amen The Assurance of Pardon The Response The Gloria Patri Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. News for the Body of Christ Flowers for 2016 Please contact Jill in the church office at any time during the year if you would like to have flowers. Many dates are still available. To all volunteers working with children under the age of 18: You will not be able to work with children if the required PA certifications are not on file. Volunteer binders containing detailed information and instructions are available at the church office or email request at volclear@bethanypresby.org Communion Instruction for Children/Youth A time of instruction for children and the meaning of Holy Communion has been scheduled for Saturday February 6 at 11:00AM. If your schoolaged child or youth has not partaken of Holy Communion and you feel they might be ready, please contact one of the pastors. This may be especially helpful for children who are no longer leaving the worship service to go to Worship and Wonder but are participating through the end, which includes the celebration of Communion on those particular Sundays. The Missionaries going to Haiti later this month are collecting Peanut Butter and brown sugar. They will be teaching the Haitians how to make peanut butter cookies in a Solar Oven which will provide nutrition along with a very special treat. There is a box for donations near the nursery in the Welcome Center. Thank you. SAVE THE DATE: The Women of Bethany will be having their A Time for Me Chocolate Night on February 4 th at 7:00 PM. Look for more information in next week s bulletin.

Bethany Presbyterian Church will be hosting the IF: Gathering in April 2016. The IF: Gathering seeks to gather, equip, and unleash this generation of women to live out God s calling on their lives. We are a generation of women that believes God at His Word that He called us to our places and will use us for His glory and for the good of His people. Our goal is to make the name of Jesus great in and through the women of our church, neighborhood, & city. The world around us feels like it is crumbling and almost nothing seems certain, until we look to Jesus and see that our Hope is very clear and certain. He didn t just give us salvation Jesus is our salvation and the example of what it means to live in the fullness of grace and truth. What the world needs is His redemption, the very redemption and hope that lives inside of us. Rather than shrink back, it is time to love like Jesus loved, serve like Jesus served, pray like Jesus prayed, and pursue holiness like Jesus pursued it. This April 8th and 9th, join this global gathering of women across denominations, generations, and cultures as we come together in the name of Jesus. Please visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/439213086269925/ to register. Please contact Mandy Evans at 724-926-4049 for more information Bethany MOMSnext Are you a mom of a school-age child interested in connecting with other moms? If so, MOMSnext is for you! As a part of MOPS International, MOMSnext connects moms all over the world to a community of women, in our own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS and MOMSnext groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find our identity by journeying along-side one another. Bethany MOMSnext will begin a new season at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Please join us for an information gathering night on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 7:15pm in the Welcome Center. Light refreshments will be provided. Bring a friend and come check it out!
