This year s play will be held on Friday, March 26, at St. Johns Golf and Country Club, 205 St. Johns Golf Drive, St. Augustine, FL. The beautiful course is 10 minutes south of Jacksonville on I-95 and S.R. 210. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 12:45. Each golfer will receive a gift bag, lunch, and dinner. Individual entry fees are set at $125, or a foursome fee of $500 with a discount to $400 if paid prior to March 19. The event features Captain s Choice type of play. This is where teams of four compete with other teams and the scoring is handicapped, allowing new golfers to equally compete. Individual prizes will be awarded for closest to the hole, longest drive, and longest putt. Team prizes will be awarded for lowest net and gross scores. There will be special awards for any hole-inone on a par three hole. Additionally, there will be a putting and a possible 18th green glow in the dark chipping contest. Also, an auction of several larger donated gift packages (2 night stay at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk Hotel, Golfing, etc.) will be held at the conclusion of the tournament. If you cannot play or attend, please consider sponsoring a hole, a player or a team to play in this event. Hole sponsors of $100 will receive a sign of recognition on the course and advertisement in each golfers gift bag. Everyone is invited to come, play, or help participate. All the funds raised will assist Len Ministries to continue to minister the Gospel to those in need around the world. LMi This year s play will be held on at St. Johns Golf and Country Club, 205 St. Johns Golf Drive, St. Augustine, FL, on March 26. All are welcome with registration starting at 11:30 a.m.

pg. 2 March 2010 2009 Banquet The Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk was the location for the LMi Annual Fundraising event [Jacksonville, FL] Len Ministries hosted a wonderful evening at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk in Jacksonville, FL, on Saturday, November 14, 2009. The night began with a reception in the foyer. The more than 200 guests mingled over great hor d oeuvres. After everyone was escorted into the main dining hall, Rev. Jerry Scheck opened the evening with prayer and Mr. Voice, Terry Casey, made everyone feel welcome as the Master of Ceremonies. The attendees raved over the meal that was provided by the new chef at the Wyndham. While the main course of the meal was served, ministry photos from the many trips taken by Len Ministries in 2009 were viewed on the large screen. As the dessert was served, the guest speakers took the stage. With the help of Terry Casey, Daniele Yetna from Douala, Cameroon, spoke at the podium about the affect Len Ministries has had upon her church, family, and her personal life. People were encouraged when they heard how her father, mother, brothers, and coworkers received Christ. Next Len Ministries Russian Administrator, Sveta Yarygina from Kirov, Russia, addressed the attendees with the help of interpreter Diana Dudenkova-Longacre. Sveta spoke about the work Len Ministries has been accomplishing in Russia since 1996 and specifically in the last 8 years. Many cities in northern European Russia have been impacted with thousands led to Christ and hundreds of churches equipped to share their faith. Sveta delighted the audience when she personally thanked in English Rev. Len Showalter for his service unto the Lord. Marcia Showalter was then introduced and shared about the impact of this year s travel upon her life. As a result, the faces of many of the orphans are still etched in her memories. She told of one such orphanage in Eldoret, Kenya, where the team brought personal gifts as well as shared Jesus Christ with the children. All of the children prayed to receive Him into their hearts! Finally, Len Showalter spoke to everyone and told of going to the U. S. Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Honduras, Russia, Uganda, Kenya, and Ecuador during 2009 and equipping hundreds of soul winners. He said that they saw more than 2,000 profess Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! He told of the current ministry work for the Lord in Jacksonville, FL, at Arlington Assembly of God. And he talked about the work at Union Correctional Institution in Raiford, FL, where prisoners are being equipped to share their faith with other prisoners. Len closed by detailing plans and opportunities to go into other nations in 2010. Dr. Jim Lane, LMI Board Member, concluded the evening by asking the attendees to contribute to this great work with their prayers and by their financial support. He requested that all consider initially giving $20 monthly or increasing their monthly support by $20. He pointed out that there is much to be done and that each person can assist to make a difference in this world. After a time given for personal prayer and financial participation, the banquet closed in prayer. Everyone departed with a renewed vision for the ministry in 2010. LMi if you are interested in participating in any of the LMi ministry efforts please contact Len Ministries at (904) 992-0545, or email len@lenministries.org.

March 2010 pg. 3 prisoners See the Light Barbed wire does not prevent the Gospel from reaching into a maximum prison with a population of almost 1500. [Raiford, FL] Chaplain Barry Hedrick of Union Correctional Institution in Raiford, FL, met with Tony Cozier, Randy Brown, and Len Showalter to review the results from the first semester of working together in 2009. Chaplain Hedrick expressed great excitement over the teaching of evangelism to four inmate trainees. Each week, depending on availability, Tony, Randy, or Len instructed for an hour and a half. Several previously trained inmate leaders assisted the learning process and oversaw the one-on-one witnessing situations. After 13 weeks of instructions, the inmates witnessed to 19 others and had 5 professions and assurances of faith. The results were so good that the Chaplain asked for the Len Ministries team to teach a second semester of evangelism to an additional set of inmates. Len agreed and will also instruct the 4 graduates in a second level of evangelism at the same time. Len was also asked to preach in the UCI Chapel for a Sunday service on December 13, 2009. Prior to his speaking there were 3 prisoners water baptized making a total of 18 baptized in the past two months! Len spoke to more than 110 men in the Chapel plus the inmates that were on Death Row that watched the service via TV. Afterwards Chaplain Hedrick requested that LMI teach some lifestyle courses on a weekly basis. Four classes were agreed upon and began sequentially in February 2010 with Experiencing God led by Randy Brown. Attendance at the first class greatly exceeded expectation with about 50 in the morning lifestyle class and 23 in the two afternoon evangelism classes. The next set of lifestyle classes that will last through 2010 will include a foundational teaching, financial training, and a 12-step program. To accomplish these plans additional State of Florida Department of Correction approved teachers and classroom material will be needed. Len Ministries considers this opportunity of reaching into the prison population a great honor and so appreciates the great work that Chaplain Hedrick is accomplishing at UCI. Please pray for the inmates that will be in training and those that will be touched by the Gospel. LMi Need prayer? Called to pray? Called to go? Need a Bible study? Need a church? Called to give? pg. 4 March 2010 Trippin exciting plans are in place for short-term missionary trips with LMi for 2010 [JACKSONVILLE, FL] The U. S. Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Honduras, Russia, Uganda, Kenya, and Ecuador held great results for Len Ministries in 2009. It was a productive year of international traveling and Len Ministries is looking forward to even greater opportunities in 2010. In addition to the many renewed relationships and new ones made, there were over 2,000 people that made professions of faith in Jesus Christ and more than 200 leaders that were equipped to train more soul winners! Mbale, Uganda, was one of the highlights of all our trips with 10% of the city s population (~650 people) professing Christ; 10% of those people were Muslim! Another highlight this past year was when the team ministered in a large tent filled with 250 youth during their youth retreat, out in the woods near Yaroslavl, Russia. The Spirit of God touched so many young people. It was refreshing to see the Power of God at work! The list is very long of testimonies credited to what the Lord has done! As we begin 2010, there are even more doors opening to the ministry. E-mails arrive weekly from places around the world asking for Len Ministries to come and help teach and train pastors in evangelism. Even the churches that the ministry worked with in 2009 are asking for Len Ministries to return. We are believing and trusting God to continue to teach locally in the Jacksonville area and at the prison in Raiford, FL, as well as fulfill as many of the international requests as possible. Len Ministries current travel plans for 2010 are: March 6 to 14 in St. Thomas, USVI April 9 to 17 in Guayaquil, Ecuador June 3 to 15 in Kirov, Russia June 10 to 22 in Yaroslavl, Russia June 17 to 29 in Chita, Russia August 5 to 16 in Douala, Cameroon August 12 to 23 in Mityana, Uganda September 30 to Oct. 12 in Chennai, India October 7 to 19 in China Dates and locations are subject to change. Please confirm the most current postings listed at: http://www.lenministries.org/ international_ministry.htm. Entry into some nations require the completion of paperwork months prior to arrival; therefore, those desiring to travel need to notify Len Ministries as soon as possible. For instance, when traveling to Russia, a minimum of 3 months is needed to process paperwork prior to the departure date. And some nations require special immunizations. Additional pre-travel requirements are posted at http://www.lenministries.org/ documents/index.htm. Each trip requires prayer, planning, finances, and attendance at team meetings. The requirements for individuals to join any traveling team are different depending upon the trip destination. Team meetings are required for proper preparation for entry into a different culture. The main focus of the international trips is evangelism. LMI equips indigenous pastors and leaders to train others to do evangelism and win their cities for Jesus Christ. Therefore, the best preparation for a trip is for the traveler to be trained in evangelism prior to going. LMI ministers in crusades, orphanages, retirement homes, hospitals, summer camps, churches, etc. Many times humanitarian aid is delivered in addition to the Gospel message. The Lord commands us to go in Matthew 28:19 and gives us power to be a witness in Acts 1:8. Will you go? Will you help us to go? LMi if you are interested in participating in any of the LMi ministry efforts please contact Len Ministries at (904) 992-0545, or email len@lenministries.org.

March 2010 pg. 5 You Can Help! The Lord continues to open many ministry opportunities for Len Ministries [JACKSONVILLE, FL] You can help! You are needed and the various ministries of LMI can only go forward with your help. In 2010 we will be teaching evangelism in the Jacksonville area, in Union Correctional Institution at Raiford, FL, and working in multiple cities and many churches in seven nations. You can help by being trained and equipped to share your faith locally and internationally. You can help by going with us into God s Harvest field and training pastors and leaders. (Many have gone with us on international trips and have personally seen God change lives). You can help by praying and believing with us as we work around the world join our prayer network at: http://www.lenministries.org/ contact_us.htm. You can help by financially giving toward a specific need or trip: l It is easy to assist an indigenous pastor or leader to be trained - $250 will finance him/her for one week of intense evangelism training. l It is easy to assist a prisoner to attend a lifestyle class or be trained in evangelism - $30 per quarter will offset his cost of materials. l It is easy to help a traveling team member - $100 (or any amount) will help towards his/her total cost in traveling to another nation. l It is easy to help Len Ministries to continue to train local and international pastors and leaders in evangelism - $20 (or more) per month will keep the vision moving forward. l It is easy to help with small humanitarian needs that many have as we go into orphanages, schools, hospitals, retirement homes, etc. - $25 (or more) towards the total cost will help us purchase culturally relevant items (blankets, toys, personal hygiene, food, etc.) for the children and adults to which we minister. You can help! Len Ministries extends to you an opportunity to make a difference in the world. Time is short and the need is great. All gifts are welcomed and very much appreciated. And it is easy! Tax deductible gifts can be mailed to: Len Ministries 13856 Danforth Dr. So. Jacksonville, FL 32224 or online at: http://www.lenministries.org/donate.htm. LMi

We returned home not long ago after a brief visit with Ruth in West Virginia and Sara and Daryl in Virginia. Although we loved visiting with them, we are already looking forward to the next time our family can be together. After living in Florida for so long, we now have a greater appreciation for our warm weather and those that live in colder climates. We experienced snow and cold temperatures and realized why we like living near the Atlantic Ocean in Jacksonville, FL. It is ironic that all of our girls have now lived and experienced northern winters after living in Florida most of their lives. Now that we are back in Jacksonville we are eager to continue the work that the Lord has for us to do here and abroad. With current EE training locally, the ministry at UCI, and upcoming trips to five continents, there is much work to do. Your continued prayers and financial support are greatly appreciated and needed to accomplish the equipping and training of others all over the world. We re excited for these upcoming trips and know that there will be many trained and come to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ because of our combined efforts. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into the harvest field. Matthew 9:38 With our love and our prayers, Your Missionaries, Marcia & Len Showalter
