Walking Together This is the year that, as a church, we ll engage our Scriptures, not just on Sunday mornings, but all week long! Buy your copy of We Make the Road by Walking by Brian D. McLaren and follow along each week as the pastors not only preach on that Sunday s texts, but then provide opportunities to study and discuss them with our church friends in the days after that! The Cranford World Trade Center Memorial Committee along with the Cranford Clergy Council Invites you to attend the Service of Remembrance Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the September 11 Memorial Park 6:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be moved to First Presbyterian Church of Cranford For more information, contact Dottie Baniewicz 908-578-5085 McLaren, one of today s most-acclaimed Christian theologians, has created his own lectionary which takes readers through the entire Bible in one year, providing commentary that is uncommonly accessible and arresting and also conversant with contemporary scholarship. Charles Scriven, book reviewer of The Christian Century raves, For its potential usefulness in the congregation, this book is as good as sun on soil. As a conversation partner, McLaren is sure to provide some thoughtprovoking, faith- empowering insights. Various study groups or learning circles will be forming so that you can join in fellowship and opportunities for growth. An initial organizing meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 30 after worship. If you would like to walk together, sign up below, contact the church office, the Pastors or Mark Oricchio. Paperback copies of We Make the Road by Walking are available for purchase for $10.
