CHALLENGE TAKEN HOPE FULFILLED THE SALVATION ARMY GREATER NEW YORK DIVISION 2016 ANNUAL REPORT A SUPERSTORM SANDY SURVIVOR COMES HOME
For one hundred and twenty-five years, the kettle has been one of The Salvation Army s most beloved and recognized symbols, no question. But the kettle is just a first step, a bridge to something much greater. When you give to the kettle, your donations go in support of the vast network of programs represented by our Red Box programs like our soup kitchens that provide food for the hungry, our shelters that give people in need a place to sleep, and our day-care centers that ensure quality care for underserved children. The Red Kettle and Red Box are vehicles that help us achieve what is The Salvation Army s ultimate goal: bringing help and hope to people who need it the most. LT. COLONELS GUY D. & HENRIETTA KLEMANSKI, DIVISIONAL LEADERS
