CONNEC IONS from your Pastor s Heart On Mission and Growing Missionaries! Our Children s Hope Ministry in Haiti is flourishing and producing a massive amount of eternal fruit! In addition to providing for the twentythree orphans, we are helping educate 600 students connected with our five partner churches. But the most remarkable feature of our work is that nearly 600 people have connected their lives to Christ as Savior and Lord! Our latest group of fifteen young missionaries, led by Mike and Rebecca Ellis, completed Cole s house in memory of the Ellis beloved son. Beth Birchfield, Andy and Tanya s daughter, sent daily updates which reveal the magnitude of God s work in Haiti. Fifteen-year-old Beth wrote: Wow...today the boys started out early and worked all day on Cole s house. Mr. Philip worked on the cabinets and beds. The girls drove up the mountain to Pastor Barjon s school. We shared about how much God cares for us and how He knows the number of hairs on our head. We gave them hygiene bags. At the end of our time together, the older girls talked to Mrs. Rebecca. I asked Edrick to go to each class and see if anyone wanted to talk about accepting Jesus Christ. About 30 kids wanted to know more about following the Lord so Kennon and I talked to them about what it means to accept Christ and how to make that commitment. Seven boys and one girl asked Jesus to come into their lives! We took them one by one and shared a prayer time with them. It was an incredible experience! The whole time I was overwhelmed of what God was doing! Today I have eight new forever family members! Is our God big or what? So yeah... That was my day! Love and miss y all Beth A total of 80 people committed their lives to Christ because of the witness of our latest team. God is transforming Haiti as His people share Christ s truth, love and light. Furthermore, the people who travel to Haiti will never be the same. Jacmel has become our training camp for future missionaries!
