While their roots are in southern gospel music, the east Tennessee family has developed a unique, progressive sound that combines southern gospel with more contemporary styles of Christian music. The hallmarks of the Talley sound are their lush arrangements, close-knit harmonies and powerful vocals. The Talley Trio s top priority in concert is to lift up Christ in their music while presenting the gospel to the listener through song and testimony. Their professionalism and pursuit of excellence is only superseded by their ability to connect with an audience through the message of love, grace and forgiveness. Roger and Debra Talley have enjoyed many years at the forefront of gospel music. After beginning their careers in separate groups, they enjoyed much success with Roger s brother, Kirk, performing as the Talley s from 1984-1993. Lauren was raised in this heritage and in 1996, the family began performing on a limited basis as the Talley Trio. They have enjoyed ten number one singles, with two streaks of consecutive chart toppers. TIM WILLIAMS For the past several decades, Tim Williams, President of the Tim Williams Evangelistic Ministries, has been involved in evangelism across America and around the world through revivals, crusades, conferences, harvest events and providing total financial support for international church planters and evangelists.
SQUIRE PARSONS TRIO Since 1978, Squire Parsons has been nominated by the SINGING NEWS fans for Favorite Baritone, Favorite Gospel Songwriter and Favorite Gospel Singer. He was named Favorite Baritone in 1986 and 1987. In 1986, 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995 - Favorite Gospel Songwriter. In 1988 he was named Favorite Southern Gospel Male Singer. He has also been nominated for the DOVE AWARD for male vocalist and songwriter. In 1990, he was presented the coveted MARVIN NORCROSS AWARD, given for devotion to family, service to church, involvement in community affairs, and contributions to the gospel music industry. In addition to being one of America s best loved soloists, Squire is a prolific songwriter. In 1981, his song, Sweet Beulah Land was voted Favorite Song Of The Year by the SINGING NEWS. Some of the other gospel classics written by Parsons include: Master Of The Sea, Oh What A Moment, The Broken Rose, He Came To Me, I Call It Home, I Sing Because, Hello Mama, I m Not Giving Up, and I Go To The Rock. Many gospel recording artists and groups have recorded at least one of his songs. GREG BUCHANAN Greg is a world-class harpist whose aggressive style of playing usually redefines the listener s concept of performance on the harp. His superb musicianship combined with an enthusiastic attitude toward the Christian life has made him one of the most sought-after Christian performers in America for the past 25 years. Greg enjoys the privilege of being one of the first harpists in the world to own and play the Electronic Acoustic Grand Harp developed and handcrafted by the Lyon and Healy harp manufacturers of Chicago. The technological enhancements of this newly introduced instrument take Greg s music into realms of expression unattainable with traditional acoustic harps. The instrument is a modified Salzedo Art Deco design, which was personalized to accommodate Greg s specific needs. During many concert performances, Greg also performs on a Celtic (Irish folk) harp and a Kin nor (lyre). The uniqueness of Greg s stylized playing has made him a popular guest at national and international workshops. Greg finds great fulfillment in being able to share not only his musical knowledge but also his personal walk of faith, thus offering great creative inspiration to those with whom he works.
