Leadership Forum -- Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. We are beginning leadership succession planning for many of our key ministry positions including Parish Council. In this forum, we would like to discuss the leadership opportunities within the parish: Parish Council Board of Auditors And other leadership positions where talents are best matched to serve the community. Please join us as we look to our members to reflect on where we have been, where we are today, and where we need to go as a vibrant parish. Candidacy packets will be available at the Information Table and at the church office beginning in September. Becoming Orthodox September 21, 28 & October 5 at 7:00 p.m. Presented by Fr. Steve Dalber and Fr. John Wallace frdalber@stnektarios.org, frwallace@stnektarios.org During the three sessions, we answer questions that non Orthodox people have about the faith and help them understand what it means to enter the Orthodox faith through Holy Chrismation should they choose to do so. This class is also appropriate for those already Orthodox who would like to learn or review the basics of the faith. Topics include an overview of church history, understanding Holy Tradition, the development of The Creed, the nature of the Holy Trinity and more. For those who plan to be chrismated and cannot make the class, appointments can be arranged to fit your schedule. Second Trays Periodically, we pass a second tray on Sundays to support those causes beyond St. Nektarios. In July and August, we have an opportunity to offer our assistance: On September 17th, for Hellenic College Holy Cross. The funds are collected by Philoptochos.
