ADULT EDUCATION "REDISCOVERING OUR JEWISH ROOTS" Our Spring adult education class continues to meet on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Temple Library. Rabbi Brickman will conclude the course during the last three weeks of May by reviewing from a Reform perspective the topics that Rabbinic Intern Andrew Davids covered during the first three weeks of the course: God, Torah and Israel. This course is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come and study our tradition. Whether you are just beginning your exploration of Judaism and trying to find your place in our community, or further along your spiritual journey, this course will provide you with important information and interesting insights. Even if you have not been able to attend the opening sessions of the course, please join us for the remainder of the classes. "TIKKUN LEIL SHA VUOT" Traditionally, the Jewish community has devoted the evening of the holiday of Shavuot to studying Torah, re-enacting the experience of our ancestors who prepared for the revelation of the Torah at Mt. Sinai by studying all night long. This year, we will conduct a modified version of this tradition, known as ''Tikkun Leil Shavuot." On Saturday evening, May 30 th, Andrew Davids will conduct a Torah study session for the younger adult members of the congregation at the home of Marv Glazerman and Wendy Parmet. Rabbi Brickman will conduct an early morning study session for the entire congregation at the Temple on Sunday, May 31 st before our Shavuot morning services. We hope you will plan on joining us for this unique opportunity for Jewish study. Rabbi Brickman's morning study session will begin at 8:00 a.m. A light breakfast will be served. Yizkor services for the morning of Shavuot will follow at 10:00 a.m. More details will be available in the next issue of the ''Temple Bulletin."
