People: The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. Leader: The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. People: The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD! 1

We sing praises to God for who he is and for what he has done SONGS OF PRAISE HOSANNA Chorus: Hosanna, hosanna. Hosanna in the highest. Hosanna, hosanna. Hosanna in the highest. I see the King of glory coming on the clouds with fire. The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes. I see his love and mercy washing over all our sin. The people sing, the people sing. Chorus I see a generation rising up to take their place With selfless faith, with selfless faith. I see a near revival stirring as we pray and seek. We re on our knees, we re on our knees. Chorus Bridge: Heal my heart and make it clean. Open up my eyes to the things unseen. Show me how to love like you have loved me. Break my heart for what breaks yours. Ev rything I am, for your kingdom s cause. As I walk from earth into eternity. Chorus 2x Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest. CCLI Song #4785835; Words & Music by B. FOREVER (WE SING HALLELUJAH) The moon and stars, they wept, the morning sun was dead; The Savior of the world was fallen. His body on the cross, his blood poured out for us; The weight of ev ry curse upon him. One final breath he gave as heaven looked away; The Son of God was laid in darkness. A battle in the grave, the war on death was waged; The pow r of hell forever broken. Prechorus: The ground began to shake, the stone was rolled away; His perfect love could not be overcome. Now, death, where is your sting? Our resurrected King Has rendered you defeated. Chorus: Forever he is glorified; forever he is lifted high. Forever he is risen; he is alive, he is alive. (Prechorus, Chorus) Bridge: We sing hallelujah, we sing hallelujah, we sing hallelujah; The Lamb has overcome. (repeat) Chorus 2x CCLI Song #7001228; Words & Music by B. Johnson, K. Jobe, J. We acknowledge our need of forgiveness and renewal through the cleansing blood of Jesus CONFESSION OF SIN Gracious Father, forgive us. We are so slow to learn, so prone to forget. We are pained by our graceless hearts, our prayerless days, our poverty of love, our wasted hours, our unspent opportunities. We are blind while light shines around us: by the power of your Spirit, take the scales from our eyes, grind to dust the heart of unbelief. Make it our greatest joy to meditate on you, gaze on you. May we never seek in the creature what can be found only in the Creator. Let not faith cease from seeking you until it vanishes into sight. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen. Adapted from A Disciple s Renewal, The Valley of Vision God reminds us of his promise of forgiveness in Christ ASSURANCE OF PARDON JOHN 1:14, 29 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! We enjoy and extend the peace of the gospel to one another GIVING OF THE PEACE Leader: Because Christ has taken away our sin, we now have peace with God and peace with one another. May the peace of Christ be with you! People: And also with you! 4

We give thanks to God and bring our needs to him CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER You can join us in praying for our community and world this evening; the Flock Notes are on page 9 in your worship guide. If you would like to submit a prayer request, fill out the prayer request card and place it in the offering plate as you exit the Sanctuary. If you would like someone to pray with you after the service, men and women from our leadership will be available in the front. During the following song, children ages K - 3rd grade are dismissed to Sunday School, which meets in the McLean Room; turn right as you exit the Sanctuary and walk down the hall. We ready our hearts to receive the preaching of God s word SONG OF PREPARATION WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME You were the Word at the beginning, one with God, the Lord most high. Your hidden glory in creation now revealed in you, our Christ. Chorus 1: What a beautiful name it is, what a beautiful name it is, The name of Jesus Christ, my King. What a beautiful name it is, nothing compares to this. What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus. You didn t want heaven without us, so, Jesus, you brought heaven down. My sin was great, your love was greater. What could separate us now? Chorus 2: What a wonderful name it is, what a wonderful name it is, The name of Jesus Christ, my King. What a wonderful name it is, nothing compares to this. What a wonderful name it is, the name of Jesus. Bridge: Death could not hold you. The veil tore before you. You silence the boast of sin and grave. The heavens are roaring the praise of your glory, for you are raised to life again. You have no rival. You have no equal. Now and forever, God, you reign. Yours is the kingdom. Yours is the glory. Yours is the Name above all names. Chorus 3: What a powerful name it is, what a powerful name it is, The name of Jesus Christ, my King. What a powerful name it is, nothing can stand against. What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus. What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus. What a powerful name it is, the name of Jesus. CCLI Song # 7068424; Words and Music by B. Fielding & B. Ligertwood; 2016 Hillsong Music Publishing; CCLI #152421 5
