St Teresa Rochford & St Pius X Hockley 109 Ashingdon Road, Rochford, Essex SS4 1RF frgerry@talktalk.net www.rcrochford.org. 01702 544334 07919 416263 2nd Sunday in Lent My dear people, In the Orthodox Liturgy before the reading of scripture the deacon says wisdom, let us attend! because it is the word of God. Today the first reading and the Gospel exalt us to listen. Do we really listen to God s word? or do we just hear it and allow it to pass us by? If we are serious about our salvation, if we are serious about our love of God, then we owe it to Him to truly listen and respond by obeying his word. With every blessing, Fr Gerry This weekend we welcome 6th Rochford who will be helping to lead the Liturgy at our 10.30 Mass. The coffee morning following this Mass will be run by 6th Rochford.
