Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Matthew 9:36-38 From Pastor Ralph... What can you do to make this a great summer? Our students and many of you teachers have a tremendous opportunity for the next ten weeks. But even if your work schedule doesn t change, there are ways to make this summer great. Many of us have more time with family in the summer because students are out of school, the days are longer, and often we can take some vacation time. Make this time count! Share with your family what you are reading in the Bible and learning about life with Christ. Find questions to get your family talking and thinking about God (try discussion questions from iftable.com). Pray together. Look for opportunities to help your family grow in Christ. WIRED evenings, June 25-30, are going to be outstanding. Harvest Youth Conference, July 16-19, services are free and will be great for everyone! On Sunday I asked everyone to read at least three chapters a day in the Bible from Memorial Day until Labor Day (unless you are already in a more in-depth Bible study). If you haven t read the New Testament at least twice, start there. The word of God will change your life! When you leave town, plan to be back for church on Sunday morning, and do your part in building the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:16). This also reinforces to your family that Jesus and His kingdom are top priority in your life. If you have family visitng from out of town, bring them to church. If they won t come, leave them and come without them let them know that Jesus is Lord of your life. If you absolutely can t be at Harvest, watch online or find a church wherever you are. Ask the Lord to take you deeper with Him, and use you more this summer. He wants to answer that prayer. Take some time to focus on scripture. I shared on Sunday 2 Peter 1:3-9, which tells us how to see clearly and promises to make your life effective and production! As you seek Him, the Lord will make this a great summer!

Spotlight on Missions How Your Giving is Changing the world Harvest Church is making a difference by supporting International Assistance Group, Inc. (IAG), formed in 1994, whose stated purpose is to provide food, medicine, and humanitarian aid to remote areas of the world. Presently, IAG is focusing on the thousands of refugees from Burma forced to live in over-crowded refugee camps along the Thailand/Burma border. Harvest member Rick Stribling joined International Assistance Group in 2009 and has made five trips with his wife Betty to the refugee camps. Betty has been visiting the camps for 22 years. The Striblings no longer take in teams and have narrowed their outreach to the two largest refugee camps. The largest has over 70,000 people living in it and the other has over 45,000. Their goal now is to find as many sponsors for the children as they possibly can. The $10 a month it costs to sponsor a child at level 1 makes a tremendous difference in the lives of these precious children. They also offer level 2 sponsorships at $20 a month, which helps the whole family. IAG presently has 405 children sponsored, and of those, 289 are being sponsored by families here at Harvest Church. In 2016 they disbursed over $54,000 to the children in the two refugee camps. Their outreach motto is Making a difference... one life at a time! The Striblings intend to continue this outreach as long as the Lord provides the strength and resources. International Assistance Group, Inc., P.O.
