TRUE AND FALSE APPLYING THE PARADOXICAL DUALITIES WITHIN THE PHYSICAL MODEL IN A SPIRITUAL CONTEXT An excerpt from THE TOTALITY OF GOD AND THE IZUNOME CROSS Unlocking the Secret to the Riddle of the Ages Al Leone 2001 Author s Note: In choosing to describe my work as a philosophysical construct, I was clearly establishing that while I sought to provide an archetype for Universal Truth based in physics, the philosophy surrounding it would play an important role. Often the line between the two became blurred, and the reader would find me slipping from one to the other without warning as the thoughts came to me. One such occurrence was in the 30 page section between my introduction of the Physical Model dualities and their eventual application in developing the Rules of Quadrality, where my detour went from discussing Good and Evil, to Addiction, to the topic of the present excerpt. This series of standalone articles has allowed me to separate the philosophy from the physics, giving each the potential for consideration on its own merits. To elaborate on, and perhaps help clarify, the paradoxical dualities within the Physical Model where True can coexist with False, and Right with Wrong I would like to share with you an illustration of how the inclusion of such dichotomies in a spiritual context almost seems paradoxical in itself. Let me start by saying that writing this book has given me the opportunity to express personal philosophic views
224 The Totality Of God developed as a result of studying the lives and ageless works of the great masters. However, the fundamental philosophies that it has been based on were those expressed by the man I feel was this past century s most notable Eastern spiritual leader, Mokichi Okada. That isn t meant to slight the Dalai Lama, or Mahatma Gandhi, both gifts from God sent to benefit Humanity, or any others you may feel deserve that recognition. But, Mokichi Okada s desire to unite Christianity and Buddhism, and to provide the world with both the spiritual and material science necessary to create Paradise on Earth, was without precedent. I believe it is he who at the close of the 21 st century will be remembered as such. I also feel that the Law of Order he taught, though not original to him, contains the clue to unlocking a riddle that has plagued Humanity and has caused incalculable religious conflict. It s who s right and who s wrong, or who will be saved and who will be condemned the physical and spiritual sides of the same philosophical coin. Millions of lives have been and continue to be lost in political wars fought to acquire the bragging rights to God s Truth. This is truly sad, for it is only the human ego that requires such validation at the expense of another s. In the Spiritual Realm, where no ego exists, all the Messengers of Light play on the same G.O.D. Team, working together for the benefit of all Humanity. A few years ago, I heard a renowned lecturer on a syndicated Christian radio program explain to his listeners that any other concept of God other than a strict biblical one was heathenism, and the work of Satan. He went on to list in that group Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists, New-agers, Occultists, Philosophers, and essentially any belief that would be covered in The Totality Of God under any path other than a Christian one. (Although he didn t say so, you could assume he was also including Jews and Muslims in his non-christian list since neither of their religions accept the Christian New Testament as God s inspired Word, or Jesus as His prophesied Son.) I know that this man s lecture was given with the best of intentions and came from a place of love within himself for the congregation he hoped to inspire and instruct in the way to Christian Salvation. I m writing about what I heard not to pass judgment on him or any of the millions of like-minded devout believers. The right to judge others on spiritual matters is one that I feel is reserved for the Almighty; but it is also my personal belief that Love is God s guiding force, and all that He ever requires of us is to let love be our guiding force, as well. When we do so, it is ourselves who reap the rewards in the quality of life we experience. And the judgment He enacts when we fall short of that ideal is not the wrath of His vengeance, but the ill effects we have brought on ourselves as a result of our choice to disconnect from that love. How you define God or pursue a path to that source of love makes no difference to a God who cares only that you choose to seek Him. At the end of that solitary road we call life, all we ll be judged on are the spiritual truths we ve upheld and the physical impact we ve made on the other lives who ve touched our own. Maintaining beliefs that seek to encourage Separation in an attempt to insure their existence, serves no purpose. We can t be afraid of another person s chosen position. If we feel threatened because it s different from ours, we re just going to have to figure out a way to get right with that. God separates Himself from no one, even when we ve spent an entire life choosing to do so. Up until our last dying breath, the opportunity to reconnect to Him is always there. Why not choose to do so sooner than later, while we re still alive and can reap the benefits of His Grace and share it with others in the process. You don t have to change any of your spiritual beliefs to do so, as long as they truly serve God s purpose. Then, give all others the opportunity to do the same in their own way.
And The Izunome Cross 225 Unfortunately, though, many religions and their ministerial representatives, as we saw in the previous example, teach that only those who believe as they do in the same God they do can be saved, and all others will be condemned. (Christian Fundamentalism is only being used to serve as an example of religious exclusivity. Such zeal, and the conflicts often caused by it, spans the gamut of faiths.) And they will cite passage after passage from their book of worship to substantiate their beliefs: that there is only one God, and that God is theirs. All other Gods are false. Rather than emotionally respond to this point of view, instead, let s use what we ve learned through studying The Totality Of God to examine the validity of this belief. In the Physical Realm, the duality of True and False is ideologically Exclusionary. Something is either True or False, and the shades of interpretation between them are merely the usually divergent human perceptions meant to explain behavior in a legal system that requires you to do so. Thus, True and False can be considered Relationable in the Physical Realm, but only in the behavioral sense. Otherwise, it s Exclusionary. If God were the judge in your courtroom, and the real facts were known, you d be either Innocent or Guilty. However, in the Spiritual Realm the opposite holds. True and False are Exclusionary in a behavioral sense, (since God can only behave in a way that is true to Himself), and Relationable, ideologically. Among the great paradoxes of the Universe you will find the one in which True and False coexist. It is all part of the mystery that lies behind the Veil in the Tree of Life, where God is simultaneously One and Three, with each one of the three being separate from God and yet inclusive of Him at the same time. (In other words, in the Spiritual Realm, at the ideological level there is no Either/Or, and what appears to be False can actually be True. Hopefully, this concept will become clearer in a moment.) The view I m about to express might seem sacrilegious to some; and even to those who have gone along with me so far it may appear to be too much to swallow. But it follows so naturally from the Law of Order, and everything else in this book I believe I ve well substantiated, that no other conclusion seems possible to me. It is this. The Principle of Quadrality and the Four Pathways to Light and Truth delineate four separate yet inclusive understandings of God as He, She, or It achieved Manifestation in the Physical Realm. But, since everything Physical is preceded by a Spiritual correlate, Quadrality must exist in the Spiritual Realm as well. Somehow, there is a hierarchy in the Spiritual Realm that allows for a single Supreme, Holy Being in charge of the Whole, and four separate yet inclusively equal reflections of that Holy Being in charge of its particular domain. Each one is the spiritual essence mirrored by the physical personalities for the Four Pathways to Light and Truth! (85, 86) We re not just visioning the four Attributes of God from Hebrew mysticism, the four heads of Brahma, or any of the other four-in-one understandings of a Higher Power ever taught on this planet, including my own. We are talking about the four Spiritual Beings behind the four human beings whom Unity somehow manifested so each could be a living witness to all that is in the All. Each human aspect is a Finite Manifestation within the physical limitations of a human body of the Infinite Creation. The exclusivity that I spoke of earlier as existing behaviorally in the Spiritual Realm applies ideologically in the Physical Realm. Thus, in the Physical Realm at the ideological level, all that is of God is Truth and all that is not of God is False; while behaviorally, what may appear to be False about God for you can actually be True for someone else. That is, in the material world Truth is relative (behaviorally Relationable, as earlier explained). When a Christian claims that the only way to be
226 The Totality Of God saved is through the Christian God, for a Christian that is true; and if he or she doesn t adhere to the tenets of their faith, they won t find their version of Redemption when they arrive in the Spiritual Realm. In essence, they haven t lived according to their truth. But the Christian version is not the only version that exists; and when a Buddhist devotes his or her life to attaining Nirvana total transcendence for a 85 (So, when Christians profess a belief that Jesus is one with the Father, who is the One True God, that is absolutely true. But, so was Buddha infused with the Power of the Holy Being his wisdom aligned with. That is true, as well. Same for the Powers embodied by Abraham and Meishu-sama. In other words, the paradox of the Holy Trinity a scientifically unverifiable matter of Faith also applies at the quadralitic level. Perhaps we can express this best by simply referring to it as the Holy Quadrality of the Spiritual Realm! I personally don t believe any religiously focused person accepting the possibility of a Holy Trinity can fail to admit this possibility also. Is there any real difference in accepting the Unity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, or the Unity of the Powers of the Soul, Heart, Mind and Body? Behind the Veil, it s all Truth! And there s no need to remind you of what happens when you multiply the Holy Trinity by the Holy Quadrality: you get the top of Figure 2.) 86 (This observation leads to an alternate paradox: in the Physical Realm, the whole is equal to the Sum of its Parts, while in the Spiritual Realm, the Whole is somehow Greater than the Sum of its parts. To illustrate, if each part equals the Whole in the Spiritual Realm, i.e., Part = 100% Whole, and Whole = the Sum of Four Parts, then Whole = 400%; which then makes each part 400%, and thus the Sum = 1600%, and so on. This could only exist within the Intangible Infinity of the Spiritual Realm where there are no material limitations. Yet, while each part reflects 100% of the Spiritual Whole, it is still only 25% of the Physical whole. Thus, when a pie is cut into four pieces, its physical integrity is affected, but not its spiritual integrity. Another take on this paradox was offered by Dr. D. James Kennedy in a four-part lecture series entitled Understanding the Trinity, broadcast on the syndicated radio program Truths the Transform. He used a wonderfully simple math analogy to explain the Christian Holy Trinity three separate parts each qualitatively equal to the whole. He said that 1+1+1 does not equal 1, but 3. Yet, the multiplication of 1x1x1 does equal 1! The latter refers to the single essence of God; the former reflects His three personalities. (87) [In a separate lecture, he also noted Aristotle s most basic law of our existence the Law of Non-contradiction: A cannot be A and non-a at the same time and in the same sense. Thus, he says, the Holy Trinity is one essence and three personalities at the same time, but not in the same sense. I maintain this can also be said for the Holy Quadrality.] In his example, Multiplication vs. Addition takes on the ramifications of Spiritual Realm vs. Physical Realm in The Totality Of God. If something is Eternal [unending time] and Infinite [unlimited space], as God is, it can t be divided. There is no such thing as half of Eternity, or Infinity which, as Spiritual Principles, have no Beginning or End in Time or Space. Only the finite can be divided. Thus, The Totality Of God can return the favor and shed further light on the Holy Trinity by explaining how Jesus can be finite in tangible form as His earthly Personality, yet infinite in intangible form as His Heavenly Essence.) 87 (The reference to Essence vs. Personality, and the choice of those words to reflect that balance as I have represented it throughout this book, are Dr. Kennedy s own. His use serves as confirmation for my selection of them, made early on in the creative process that led up to the development of this philosophy.)
And The Izunome Cross 227 Buddhist that is true as well. And the same principle holds for the ultimate state of a philosopher or an occultist. So, if you haven t followed the tenets of your faith, when you reach the other side, whatever or wherever that might be, you won t find your version of Redemption, either. If you haven t lived your life according to the Universal Truth that you ve adhered to, not just in the Big Picture but in your own pocket sized reproduction that God entrusted to your care, Redemption will just be another word in the dictionary you left behind. But, keep in mind that when your day of reckoning does finally arrive, it is only your God who will be able to judge whether the spiritual truths you lived by were indeed True or False in His eyes, not you or any other mortal being. The false gods that the Bible warns against can be interpreted literally if you choose. Stay away from them and Salvation can be yours. After all, as I stated at the start of this book, any one path born of Light and Truth is sufficient to get to the God of your understanding. You just have to be true to it. But in the 21 st century, as the barriers between religions vanish (as they must for Paradise on Earth to become a reality), Humankind must come to embrace the symbolic interpretation of false gods as anything that, in becoming a priority in your life, takes you away from Universal Truth. If anger is your god or hatred, jealousy or resentment forget it. If making money or having success at the expense of others is your god, forget it. If the pursuit of, or attachment to a negative pleasure is your god, forget it. You won t find Redemption at the end of those paths. And chances are, you won t have to wait for the end of your life to discover that. Your Hell will begin while you re still alive. As spiritual beings having a human experience, we accumulate spiritual as well as physical effects for each cause experienced to our betterment or detriment. Regardless of which accounting procedure you hope to use when it comes time to resolve your place in the afterlife, what it really boils down to is a summation of energies. When you add them all up, will the result be Positive or Negative. God s gift to Man is that we have a say in that ultimate tally through the life we lead. Charles Dickens s A Christmas Carol is in essence a touching fictional metaphor for this reality, and its blessed opportunity. Ebenezer Scrooge learned his lesson before it was too late and turned his life around. However, all human beings are given that same opportunity. Even Hitler could have, if he had been so moved. But six million souls left this world wondering why God could have allowed such evil to exist. As I said before, He had no choice; only by allowing for a Hitler could God also have allowed for a Christ. And Jesus came to save Christian and non-christian alike. In opening the Power of the Heart, He did it for all Humanity, no exceptions. And you don t even have to believe in Him to be a beneficiary of that. He did it because He loved everybody, even His murderers. When Buddha came, his enlightenment opened up the Power of the Soul. He did this for all Humanity, too, including Jesus; because Jesus could not have opened up the Heart if the Soul had not been opened first. It s all part of the Law of Order. Both of these Great Masters and all the others that came before or since, healed the world in his or her unique way. And their eternal spirits are still present to help us when we need them. If your issue is of the Heart, pray to Jesus. He s God s expert in that field. Who better to ask to learn forgiveness from than the one whose life defined it? If you re having a problem dealing with an issue of the Soul, Buddha can help supply the answer. That s why God sent him to teach us how to access the aspect of His Wisdom within us; and in Mankind s return journey from Awareness to Consciousness, the Soul is the final destination.
228 The Totality Of God So, believe in and follow the Aspect of God that resonates best within you, but in so doing, recognize that you inadvertently acknowledge all the others as well. They re all necessary. No puzzle is complete if a single piece is missing. Don t allow a personal ideology to separate you from a piece of your greater self. Each of us is a necessary part in the whole that is known as the Brotherhood of Man.
