St. Agnes School Mailbag Newsletter for March 2, 2018 Special Notes from Mrs. Paulsell: Bathrooms: It pains me to have to communicate about this but we again have damage in the NEW boys bathroom upstairs after opening it back up after the first incident. Due to the sensitivity of the room, it is difficult to pinpoint the culprit. PLEASE have a conversation with your child/ren about the blessing we have been given to be able to do this remodel and how it is important to take care of our surroundings. Yearbook Pictures urgently needed! : Please send any and all group/individual pictures you may have to stagneshomeandschool533@gmail.com Lenten Challenge: I have been reading a focus question for students to think about each morning for Lent and then I give them a challenge for the day. I thought it would be helpful to share those challenges with parents. It started on Ash Wednesday (Feb 14) and ends at the start of the Holy week (March 25th). o Day 1: Write a thank you prayer to God. o Day 2: Talk with someone about your temptations. o Day 3: Spend time this week with someone you can encourage and/or learn from. o Day 4: Pray the Lord s Prayer. o Day 5: Write down and do 3 things today that will show God how grateful you are for life. o Day 6: Set a goal of faith for yourself today. o Day 7: Schedule time this week to spend time with a person that you have not spent a lot of time with recently. o Day 8: Think for a while about what heaven will be life. Don t forget to thank God every day for the opportunity to go to heaven. o Day 9: Talk with another person today about the trials that you face and make a pact to be happy. o Day 10: Try praying out loud and talking to God as if you could see him. o Day 11: Ask questions about the Church that you do not understand. o Day 12: If you see needs of others than can be met, do it this week! o Day 13: Who can you help today? DO IT! o Day 14: Who were you created to be like? Reflect on this. o Day 15: Pray about what God promises in heaven. If there are any sins you need to confess and change, do it TODAY! o Day 16: Share your faith with another person. o Day 17: If you have been distracted or wasting time, try writing a personal schedule every day. o Day 18: If you have resisted from learning from younger disciples, repent today and seek tem out to ask questions. If you are young yourself, set the believers a great example! o Day 19: Make your prayer very specific today. o Day 20: What temptations have you been having? Pray about them today. o Day 21: Read your favorite bible verse today. o Day 22: Think of a practical way to show another person that you truly care. Do it today. o Day 23: Take some time to think about any sins that are troubling you. Write them down and talk about them with a parent tonight.
