St. Paul s News NOVEMBER 2017 St. Paul s, Happy November! As we enter into this month that is so often associated with thankfulness I am reminded of one of my favorite psalms. The words of Psalm 100 are Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him, bless his name. For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. The words of this psalm remind us to give our gratitude and praise to God. We do this because we are created by God, we belong to God, and we are loved by God. As we enter this month of November I encourage us all to take some time to focus on giving gratitude and praise to God. Perhaps you will start a gratitude journal. You can take time each day something you are thankful for. Perhaps you take time to share with those close to you the things you are grateful for. Perhaps you will take some time to do something good for somebody else because you are grateful for the good that you have received in your own life. Whatever you decide, take some time this month to offer some gratitude and praise to God for the blessings in your life, in the lives of those you care about, and throughout our entire world. Peace, Pastor Hannah 1
