NOTICES, EVENTS & OPPORTUNITIES New Outdoor Sign Our current sign on 9 th Street has served us well for almost 20 years. It has been damaged by weather and vandalism and has been repaired many times over. Its purchase was made possible by a generous donation. It is time once again to invite such generosity to support the effort to replace our current sign with a new, electronic version. There will be a significant cost for this new sign, therefore, please keep this fundraising need in mind, especially when looking for meaningful memorials or other gifts in memory or honor of a loved one. Thank you for your generosity! Monday Morning Quilters are looking for new or used flat sheets or any size or color and scraps of cotton material for making quilts. Any donations can be dropped off at the church office. It s thrift sale season, so please help us out by shopping for sheets and material! God s Work Our Hands is coming on September 9 th, when OSL will partner with Peace Lutheran and Christ Lutheran to go out in the community to serve outside the walls of our buildings. Lunch will be served at Christ Lutheran following our work. During the event we will be packing personal care kits. Each kit requires the following items: new lightweight dark color towel, metal nail clippers, 2 bars of soap, sturdy comb, and a toothbrush. Please consider picking up a few of these items and dropping them off at church. You are done shortly after noon and have the rest of the day for other plans. It s a great event for families! T-shirts are available in the office for $8. Lutheran Campus Ministries is looking for Monday Night Cooks! Our Monday Night programming is by far our most popular and best attended event during the year. The students are so appreciative of a great home-cooked meal and the opportunity for fellowship with their peers and with you as members of the community. Currently the following dates are available for fall: 9/24, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/19 and 12/3. Contact lcmstout@wwt.net or 715 308 3393 for more information.
