Place a small pile of blocks near you. Choose two children to stand on either side of you. Give the pail to one child and the shovel to the other. Child with the shovel will you help me by picking up a block with your shovel? Child places a block on the shovel. Shovels are helpful when you want to pick things up, aren t they?
