Today... Due to March Break, there is no Sunday school or planned activities for children this morning. However, children are welcome to enjoy the Prayground table during worship. All are welcome to join us for quilting in the church basement as we finish the season. Welcome to Canada Skating Party, Sunday, March 25. The youth invite our church and our newcomer friends to a free skating party! Join us at the Sherk Complex from 2:45 to 4 pm. Remember to bring your skates and helmets. This event is for people of all ages, so invite your friends! Community Meal, Wednesday, March 28, at St. John s Anglican Church, Leamington. Preparation begins at 1 pm, serving begins at 4 pm and we finish at approximately 6 pm. We are looking for volunteers for the day to prepare and serve the meal. Please contact Tammy Warkentin if you are able to help. Medicine Bundle Learning Tour. NLUMC will be sending a group to Timmins, Ontario to participate in a program hosted by MCC Ontario s Indigenous Neighbours Program. We will be meeting local Elders, learning about traditional medicines and building a raised bed garden in the community. This trip is open to people ages 14 and older. Please contact Pastor Alicia to register. The estimated cost is $425 all inclusive, per person. Travel dates are July 16-20, 2018. Please register by April 1. Missions Committee News. Fundraiser for Ukrainian Mennonite Church: Feed the Animals. The Ukrainian Mennonite Church needs a Weed Wacker they use it to mow their lawn because it is cheaper to hire someone than pay for a real lawn mower. In the church foyer, place your coins in the dog s bowls, or coax the panda out of his hiding! We currently have $310 with a goal of $500 before spring! 2

Billets for four women are needed for April 20-21 as NLUMC hosts the Spring Enrichment weekend for Women of MCEC. Please contact Pastor Alicia if you are able to offer billets. To follow is the schedule for the Women s Spring Enrichment Day on the weekend of April 20-21. If you can't come for the entire event, join us for what you are able to attend. This is a retreat weekend for women of all ages with a special guest speaker and reflection time in nature. Registration is $40 including lunch and snacks. Contact Pastor Alicia to register. Sunday, April 15. Everyone is invited to celebrate Pastor Jim's last Sunday here at NLUMC with a special worship service and fellowship meal. We'll enjoy Colasanti's chicken and buns; please bring a salad or dessert to share with others. Shipwrecked Vacation Bible School will be hosted at LUMC from July 9-13, 2018. If you know of a room that Chaya could rent in a safe, friendly home, please contact Harrow Mennonite Church. Volunteering at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, Sauble Beach. Each week of the summer, Silver Lake uses volunteers to help staff with preparing meals and/or keeping the property and facilities in top notch condition. Lots of great things are happening at Silver Lake so please consider experiencing the magic of camp first-hand this summer as a volunteer. Employment Opportunities The Leamington Mennonite Home invites applications for a full-time summer student maintenance position. The successful applicant should be handy with a willingness to learn basic repair and maintenance skills. This position is ideal for a graduating grade 12 student pursuing post-secondary education.
