The Happenings At Pittman Park MONTHLY NEWSLETTER JUNE 2018 AMPED: Living Fully Alive 2018 Join us Monday, June 11 Friday, June 15 from 9am to Noon. VBS is open to ALL students who have completed PreK through those who completed 5 th grade. VBS is going to be ELECTRIFYINGLY fun! We don t know if that s a real word, but we DO know that we re going to have an EXTREMELY awesome VBS teaching kids about why God wants each of us to be OVERLOADED with CONFIDENCE. God wants us to live our lives FULLY ALIVE because we can believe that what God says is TRUE! The memory verse is John 10:10b NIrV. I have come so they may have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way. Our five-day VBS will focus on several people and stories throughout scripture. Day 1: Joseph, our take home is: Live like you know God is with you. Day 2: Esther, our take home is: Live like God has a plan for you. Day 3: The Road to Emmaus, our take home is: Live like Jesus is alive. Day 4: Early Church, our take home is: Live like people matter. Day 5: Paul, our take home is: Live like you re part of a bigger story. How can you HELP? 1 st : Contact Courtney Hart, the Director of Children s Ministry: ppumcchildren@gmail.com 2 nd : Register your kids, friends, neighborhood kids, all kids completed PreK through 5 th grade online at pittmanpark.org. 3 rd : Come to the Planning, Volunteer, Set-Up meeting Saturday, June 2 at 9am 4 th : Join us for the decorating fun on Sunday June 10, beginning at 2pm. Many hands make light work, we need everyone to help. You can do all things from take pictures, bring food, play with children, help decorate, make copies, cut out crafts, the sky is the limit and we need all to help. Family Ministries On May 6 we enjoyed a wonderful Church picnic. We had BINGO, sack races, three-legged races, and a Dunking Booth! Check out Bill Bagwell mid DUNK! Thanks to all who helped make the Church Picnic a huge success. Be in prayer for all our Students who are traveling to Panama City Beach, Florida. They will be gone June 18-22. Student Ministry Youth WEEK June 5 7 is our Youth Week called Come Together. We will meet in the mornings from 9 12 for mission work around the community, and then have our COME TOGETHER time from 6 9pm. Invite your friends there will be drawings for prizes each night. See you all for Youth Week.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Our serving time at Rebecca s Café are Thursday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 26. We cook a hot meal for over 100 people and then serve them at the Old Julia P Bryant Elementary School Lunchroom. The serving time is between 12 1, with clean up following. The only requirements are closed toe shoes and a hat or hairnet. Come and join us. If you have any questions please call the church office. Parsonage 3 is officially for sale. 207 College Blvd and property. Bid packets will be available to be picked up in the church office on Monday, June 4, 2018. All sealed bids are due Wednesday, June 20, 2018 by 5pm. UPCOMING Blood Drive Thursday, June 28 th from 12pm 5pm You can sign up for a time at Redcross.org. Also, drop-ins are welcome. Help us provide our community with the gift of life, your blood donation will make a lasting impact.
