MOTHER NOTES: Artemesia Graves Lillard-447 Name (Artie Missy Lillard): as given on Franlin Pierce Turley's death certificate General: Leonard Turley gives the death date as 1895, with her husband following a few weeks later. The tombstone transcription gives a date of 1897. CHILD NOTES: Thomas Jefferson Turley II-184 Death (28 October 1883): Karen Garland has death date as 29 October General: Lived in Gallatin County until 1880 but moved to Mt. History of Ten Mile Baptist Church 1804-1904, p15 in October 1895, Artie Turley 'was called home' to be followed a few weeks later by her husband. Her tombstone in the churchyard, however, bears the inscription that Artemesia Graves Lillard was born 8 June 1817 and died 27 October 1897.
