"The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. You shall keep them, O Lord, You shall preserve them from this generation forever." (Psalm 12: 6 & 7) www.oakhillministries.org 2115 Graefenburg Road Lawrenceburg, KY 40342 November 10, 2008 THE WORD OF GOD! - Part Two - Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89) All flesh is as grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:6-8) The entrance of Your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130) The word of God, as spoken to man by the Holy Spirit of God (2 Peter 1:20-21), and recorded in its original form in various letters and books that we now refer to as the Holy Bible, is either true or it is false. It cannot be both. It is either one or the other Fact or Fiction. It is either holy or it is unholy. It is either alive or it is dead! In short, the Holy Bible is either what it says of itself, or it is not! It is either the single most important book on the entire planet Earth, or it is the greatest hoax ever perpetuated by man. The Bible is either The Word of God or it is nothing more than an ancient book written by men, and is as dead today as they are. Now then dear reader, you and I have a choice, as it relates to this book that I reverently refer to as the Word of God. We must choose, by Faith, to either accept it as the Word of God and agree with the psalmist in declaring: The entirety of Your word is truth, and everyone of Your righteous judgments endures forever. (Psalm 119:160) - or - We can choose to reject the Bible as the infallible word of God and become our own god, who acts as editor and chief of the Bible. We can accept what we please and reject that with which we disagree. In fact, we can choose to add to or take away from as much of the Book as we desire. Yes, dear reader, you and I have been given, by God, a freedom of choice as it relates to the Holy Bible. I made my choice nearly twenty-five years ago. Have you made yours? We humans make millions of choices in an average lifetime; however, a lifetime of our choices combined pales in comparison to this one choice: Choose you this day, whom you will obey God another man, or 1

yourself. My prayer is that if you have not clearly chosen to swear your allegiance to the word of our God, that He would grant to you the grace to do so this very day. Nothing will benefit you more. Nothing! It is written: The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver. (Psalm 119:72) Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your word was to me the joy and rejoicing of my heart; for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16) For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified. (Romans 2:13) In their writings, the Apostle Paul, John, and Peter warned of what would happen as we drifted away from our God s word. Jesus Christ, Himself, also warned us of the dangers of not keeping God s word, of not fearing God; and stated that our greatest danger in the latter days would be deception (Matthew 24:3-28). Clearly, we have been warned of the consequences of neglecting God s word. Today, we have no excuse for our having rejected God s word in favor of man s opinion. We are now reaping a harvest of pain and suffering which is the fruit of our rebellion; sadly, the vast majority of professing Christians do not have a clue of the danger that they are in, nor of the magnitude of the storm of God s holy judgment that is about to make landfall and fulfill God s word. Our rebellion against God s word is now coming into full maturity; and as it does, God s judgment will increase in severity until our spirit of rebellious pride is broken. As it has been from the beginning so it is now. The prophet Ezekiel was given a vision of how God deals with man s rebellion. This vision is detailed in Ezekiel Chapter 9 and I strongly urge you to stop reading this message and take time to prayerfully read Ezekiel s words. As you read, remember: Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. For I am the Lord, I do not change. (Malachi 3:6) As God began to reveal to Ezekiel His plan of judgment, He declared the following words: Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them. (Ezekiel 8:18) In Ezekiel s prophetic warning, he stated that God s judgment would first fall on His people and would begin at the alter with the elders. In the Apostle Peter s prophetic warning, he states the following: 2 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17) (emphasis added) And don t forget Paul s words recorded in 2 Thessalonians 1:7&8:

When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. (emphasis added) Once God has spoken to man, man has no excuse for disobeying God. It makes no difference who the person is how loving they are how charitable they are how much of God s word they can quote what position they hold in a church or how many souls seemed to be converted under their teaching or preaching; when man disobeys the word of God, and does not, from his heart, repent for having done so, he loses his good standing before God and invites God s judgment. If a true disciple of Jesus Christ, who has chosen by faith to embrace God s word in its purity, will turn to Genesis Chapter One, verse one, and feed on His word all the way to Revelation Chapter Twenty-two, verse twenty-one, this disciple will discover that our God always responds toward man the same way when man chooses to disobey Him. Disobedience to God s word will not result in God s rewarding you with a covenant blessing. Loss of blessing always follows an act of disobedience; and eventually, an unrepentant heart will result in the curse of God. When it comes to God and man, there is not enough room for two Kings; there is not enough room for two Lords. What God has said to man, is not open for discussion nor debate. Opposing views will eventually be silenced by the fire of God s judgment. Sadly, I believe that many (Matthew 7:22&23) professing Christians who are active in the church, will experience the fire of God s judgment, all because they chose to follow the dictates of their own hearts their own church rather than God s word. Oswald Chambers received this same revelation of which I am now writing. Please allow me to share a few of his thoughts: If I am going to know who Jesus is, I must obey Him. The majority of us don t know Jesus because we have not the remotest intention of obeying Him. How long it takes for all the powers in a Christian to be at one depends on one thing only, viz., obedience. The spirit of obedience gives more joy to God than anything else on earth. If God tells us to do something and we hesitate over obeying, we endanger our standing in grace. Weighing the pros and cons for and against a statement of Jesus Christ s means that for the time being I refuse to obey Him. A. W. Tozer, the most quoted theologian of the last century, said the following in Chapter 19 of the book titled We Travel An Appointed Way (Heresy Among The Saints): 3 Heresy is not so much rejecting as selecting. The heretic simply selects the parts of the Scripture he wants to emphasize and lets the rest go. Beware an editorial scribe of the fourteenth century warned his readers in the preface to a book.

Beware thou take not one thing after thy affection and liking, and leave another: for that is the condition of an heretic. But take everything with other. The old scribe knew well how prone we are to take to ourselves those parts of the truth that please us and ignore the other parts. And that is heresy. Rebellion Disobedience Heresy! Let s take a look at the definition of these three terms, according to Webster; and at the same time, let s look at our God s response to each behavior. 1. Rebellion: resistance to authority. I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, according to their own thoughts; a people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face. (Isaiah 65:2&3) Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from.... (1 Samuel 15:23) (emphasis added) He who trusts in his own heart is a fool! (Proverbs 28:26a) 2. Disobedience: neglect or refusal to obey. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, the stone which the builders rejected, has become the chief cornerstone and a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. (1 Peter 2:7&8) (emphasis added) For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. (Hebrews 2:2&3) (emphasis added) If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. (Isaiah 1:19&20) 1. Heresy: adherence to a religious opinion contrary to (the word of God). Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron. (1 Timothy 4:1&2) For there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. (2 Peter 2:1&2) 4

The word of God the way of truth and Jesus Christ are One. You cannot separate Christ from the Word nor from Truth. They are One and the same, and we have blasphemed the way of truth. We have brought shame and reproach on the high and holy name of Jesus Christ. We have rebelled against the word of God. We have departed from His precepts, commandments and judgments. We have turned a deaf ear toward the voice of God and openly mocked His word before a lost and dying world. May God have mercy on us all! Now then, for those who may be offended but are still reading, let me clarify just who I am talking about. I am talking about us, you and me and the vast majority of professing believers who make up what we call so loosely the church, especially those of us in the western world of which I am a part. Am I saying that there are none faithful to the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth? No, I am not! There have always been a few faithful ones, and there are today but they are few and far between. Most of us have our own personal agendas that range from promoting self to building our own religious kingdom. Of course, we do it all in the name of Jesus, but in truth we betray Him. Our Lord has very few true friends. He has a lot of professing believers but few friends! Sadly, this has always been the case. After Jesus had delivered what was viewed as a hard word (recorded in John 6:41-65), it is written: From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Jesus said to the twelve, Do you also want to go away? (John 6:66&67) As it was in those days when our Lord was here in the flesh, so it is even today. My own personal experience is that the more I emphasize and proclaim the purity of God s word in His full counsel, the more opposition I receive; and it always comes from the religious ones. For those of you who are His friends, you know well the fellowship of His sufferings. The word of God is offensive to the flesh of man and especially to those who are infected with religious pride. God s people have a very, very long history of rejecting His word. In fact, those who proclaim to embrace His word in its entirety, are frequently the most offended when confronted with the truth. Remember the word that I said to you, A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all those things they will do to you for My name s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. (John 15:20&21) I want to bring to a close this part of my message by issuing a prophetic warning and then a word of encouragement for those whose heart desires above all things to be numbered among His true friends in the latter days. First I declare to you that God s judgment is now upon us and will continue to increase in severity until our spiritual pride, religious arrogance and lust for the things of the world is broken and we accept our guilt, humble ourselves, and turn from our wicked ways, i.e. 2 Chronicles 7:13&14. Every high and lofty ministry will be brought low. God will lift our skirts and expose our nakedness. The sin, wickedness, and all corruption within the church will be exposed and dealt with severely. All hidden agendas, regardless of how well intentioned, will be exposed and man s institution will be destroyed. The one true Church that our king is building, whose membership is made up only of those who have a re-birth certificate on file in heaven, will remain. Repent! therefore.... or else! 5

Economic collapse is on its way, followed by the sword and the loss of much blood; sickness, disease and uncontrollable plagues will sweep across the land and around the world. God will not be mocked He will not! He will utterly destroy all resistance to His word. In the end, rebellion, disobedience and heresy will be totally abolished. He will introduce all men to the full meaning of the Commandment FEAR GOD! Psalm 9, for those interested, will explain where we are today, and tell us how to pray (verses 19&20). Finally, Father assures us of regardless of how severe the judgment, there is hope and confidence to be found in His word. For always, when His people were where we are today, He prepared a remnant of those that He protected and kept as a holy seed; that He could administer His life through to those who had no hope. Psalm 91 describes His protection for those who meet His conditions (verse 1). For those who, like myself, from the heart have separated themselves wholly unto Him and long to see the restoration of the purity of God s word sown into the fertile soil of man s heart without being contaminated by the commentaries of man who long to witness the word of God confirmed from the throne of the King to you, I quote the word that Father spoke to our forefather Ezekiel: And you son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house. You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious. But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you. (Ezekiel 2:6-8) To the friends of the KING, I say to you: We were born for such a day as this. Father has spared us. He has kept us and preserved us. We belong to Him and to Him alone. This is our season of time. We have been given a message we carry the papers of the King! Rise to the occasion take up your cross lift your voice take up your pen shout it from the housetop! Time is extremely short. Unbelievable suffering will soon surround us. You are the salt you are the light. Keep your eyes on the King and on the King alone do not be distracted by the religious ones, their religion is powerless. The Word alone will prevail in power, in might and in authority! Your brother, Thomas We will continue soon. In the meantime, I wish you God s speed. "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you, and you be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5 & 6) 6
