Divine Healing Belongs to You Divine Healing is a very important part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for us in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. Much emphasis has been placed on the practice of anointing with oil, laying on of hands, and praying for the sick.
But there is more to healing than anointing with oil, just as there more to salvation than prayer. The anointing oil, the minister s prayer, and the laying on of hands are simply methods, or points of contact. In themselves they do not heal. They are avenues through which we can release our faith in God s Word. Psalm 119:89 Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. The Hebrew word settled means: established, set, and is present. In other words, His Word is present with us today, the Word being Christ. Christ is in your heart, and that means, healing is already in you, you just have to exercise your faith in order for it to manifest.
All one has to do is believe the covenant that God has established through Christ s death, burial, and resurrection is in them, and healing is already done. Healing belongs to you. The believer will be healed by releasing his faith in the Word of God. The Word of God is established in heaven. A believer must continually feed on God s Word concerning divine healing to keep their faith strong. God always works on the principle of faith. Nothing else! He has given you His Word that you can have faith. He expects you to come according to the Word of God and believe it. Then He honors His Word.
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. When a person doesn t believe the Word, act on it, or honor it, He doesn t have anything to honor in your life. Healing Scripture Isaiah 53:4-5 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace
was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Matthew 8:16-17 16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. These scripture line up with Isaiah 53:4-5 Psalm 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. His Word here is Jesus which is mentioned in John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Several Ways Divine Healing Can Occur The Laying on of Hands - James 5:14-15 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. God Will Heal Also Without the Laying on of Hands Peters shadow passing over the sick - Acts 5:15
Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. The Centurion servant - Matt 8:5-13 5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. 7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be
it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. The woman with the issue of blood - Mark 5:25-34 25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, 26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. 34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Hindrances to Divine Healing (I) Un-confessed sin - James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Faults from the Greek text: hamartia (ham-ar-tee'-ah); a sin, offence, sin (-ful). (II) Un-forgiveness - Mark 11:22-26 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things
which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. 25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Divine Healing According to Ones Faith Blind man - Matthew 9:28-29 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and
Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. A woman of Canaan who s daughter was grievously vexed with a devil - Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Blind Bartimaeus - Mark 10:51-52 51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way. Healing Belongs to You!!!
